"Cute old property with basic rooms and wonderful pub/restaurant with fantastic food. Easy walk to all areas of Kenmare. Kenmare is a nice, clean small town."
"We had a great time at Actons.
We went to celebrate our birthday and a card and chocolates were on the table waiting for us for our Birthdays .
Thank you so much for making our stay memorable "
"First class hotel. It was the best stay of our 2 week trip. Beautiful, friendly, great location, great staff and so helpful. Breakfast was superb! Would highly recommend this for a little splurge ."
"Unique to the property was skeleton key to open and lock your room. Was great walkability to the whole town including pubs for dinner, fresh produce stores and pharmacy, not to mention a couple of different off licenses. Would recommend The Blue Haven for dinner - the seafood chowder was the best I've ever had. The bed was pretty firm though so we both woke up sore. Breakfast tables weren't necessarily set-up to accommodate all the guests so we happily invited an American couple to join us. Was...
"I loved this place and even though it was confusing to check in at a different hotel down the block, it was very easy once we figured it out haha everyone was very sweet and the room was beautiful and clean. We will definitely stay again! "
"We had a great one night stay at the glen quarter. The room is small but very well designed and sparkling clean. Centrally located in the heart of kinsale. Since we came off season we parked right behind the building. Two doors down from a perfect breakfast spot with delicious cappuccino. Highly recommend for a short stay. Keep in mind that parking could be a challenge during the peak season."
"Everything about the Lynwood House was wonderful! The room was beautiful, with a sitting area and a brand new on suite bathroom. There was a kettle for tea, a hair dryer, and a television. The bed was extremely comfortable and the views from the room are unmatched. Peter was so warm and welcoming, providing a bit of history and directing us to the best places in the town. We'd be glad to return on a future trip!"
"First room was poor with a bathtub, no electrical outlets beside bed, unadjustable heat radiator with broken control knobs and no night table on one side. Changed to another room with a nice walk-in shower, electrical outlets, digital controlled radiator, and night tables. Moral is to specify a nice room."
"Dee checked me in and provided all the info I would need for my stay. Later, I was invited to join a reunion of Dee's friends. We had a lovely evening of conversation, laughs, singing, and music. I felt right at home. "
"Kevin and Craiy are fantastic hosts. Warm and friendly, and helpful. Like all their staff.
Breakfast was partly self-service and partly table service. All excellent. Great choice too.
The room was large, clean and comfortable. Daily service too.
Walking distance to everything, with onsight parking.
Views from the hotel across the harbour are magnificent.
Kevin was helpful and pointed out places to visit nearby or just relax."
"We had a lovely stay in Fota, the staff were amazing and the food was amazing. The hotel itself is nice hotel but the spa is a bit underwhelming. My wife had a treatment and rated the treatment as excellent so that part is impressive it the spa facility itself that needs some work."

"Stayed for 2 nights trip with friends. Friendly staff, clean modern hotel. Triple room had 2 single beds but plenty of room. Paid for hotel breakfast each morning which was good selection and worth the money if you fill up your plate. Had been warned that the area was a little dodgy next but didn’t experience any issues, a couple minutes walk from the centre of town and handy for getting around. "

"We stayed at The River Lee Hotel in County Cork this past weekend, and I can confidently say it was a fantastic experience easily a 5 out of 5.
From the moment we arrived, everything felt smooth and well thought out. We parked in the secure underground car park and were checked in promptly.
The location of the hotel is excellent. It’s very central — just a short 13-minute walk to the iconic English Market and Cork City Centre, which made exploring the city really easy. Great food spots close by, e.g Proby’s Kitchen.
Our room was modern, spacious, and spotless, with a lovely view overlooking the River Lee. The shower was powerful, hot, and clean, no complaints at all.
We dined at the hotel restaurant, and I have to say, the food and service were exceptional. The three-course meal we had was delicious and great value for money. The waitstaff were attentive without being intrusive, and the whole dining experience felt relaxed and enjoyable.
One moment that really stood out to me was the hospitality of Tim at the front desk. Early on Sunday morning, as I was watching the Formula One before any of the breakfast services were open, Tim very kindly afforded me complimentary pastries and tea. It’s small gestures like that which turn a good hotel stay into a memorable one. His warm and thoughtful service left a lasting impression, thank you Tim. I really appreciate your generosity and hospitality. It was good to get to know you."

"I left my phone in a taxi while in Cork and after I got home to the U.S., the taxi driver found it and took it to Belvedere where I was staying. Eunice emailed to let me know they had my phone and would mail it to me. Amazing owners!"
"What a fantastic property!! We loved the shopping and dining options as well as the proximity to Blarney Castle. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the rooms were great. We would absolutely stay here again!"
