"We enjoyed a relaxing week here, the property is well equipped both in the kitchen and the rest of the house. The location is rural yet only 1.5hrs from Dijon and the Burgundy wine region is on the doorstep. The hot tub and sauna are a wonderful way to relax overlooking the river. The host was helpful."

"Dieses wunderbare Haus übertraf unsere Erwartung. Die Küche bot allees Erdenkliche, was braucht um gut zu kochen. Der Esszimmer- und Wohnzimmerbereich sund fürstlich und gemütlich. "The property was exactly as described and very comfortable Francoise and Benoit could not have been kinder or more accommodating and we had a wonderful 5 days. It is close to everything one wants to see, all in the most bucolic and beautiful countryside.An additional benefit is "la Pause Rabutin" on the corner, which is a delightful cafe. The property itself is a stone's throw away from chateau Rabutin, well worth a visit. I would be happy to return here at any time!"

"Wonderful property, I cannot say enough about the house and the lovely owner. Everything was thought of and taken care of. The house is well laid out, beautifully decorated, and the bedrooms are very comfortable and spotless with all new sheets/towels/robes. Hot tub was great to enjoy in the evening, so was the wood stove with ample firewood, ping pong, bikes, and a fenced yard for the pups. We had an incredible time and highly recommend. Five stars!"

In Baigneux-les-Juifs gibt es immerhin einen kleinen Proxi, in dem man morgens (sauf lundi) sein Baguette kaufen kann. (Der nächste richtige Supermarkt ist übrigens in Venaray oder etwas weiter Montbard). Dafür trifft man...

"We opted for demi pension which was really good value. Room was very clean and comfortable although a little snug. Restaurant was excellent with lots of choice, menu plus A La Carte. Breakfast also excellent and service was superb. Only disappointment was car parking - from the description we had assumed parking was on site and secure not across the road on the open verge. Very quiet area, opposite a canal with good walks nearby."

Best property we have ever rented

"This rental property is a huge cut above anything we have ever stayed in...and that goes back many years. The properties have been restored to a very high standard, with taste and grace. The bedrooms are all beautiful, and the bathrooms immaculate. The living accommodation has been thoughtfully planned out to be versatile for any combination of events and people. We used the outside table for several al fresco dinners of 20, and we used the inside tables at both properties for meals also seating 20. There is plenty of tableware, and the kitchen equipment enabled us to cook high quality meals. We used the barbecues multiple times, the hot tub was a real treat, and the bikes got lots of use! The grounds are enclosed, so our dog happily roamed free, he had a great time too! Our host Nathalie was very helpful but happy to leave us as independent, which was perfect. All of us enjoyed staying here immensely, and we will definitely book again. Parfait"

Holiday house in Château de Champagne, luxurious, private for 1 Family /group

Best birthday ever!

"I decided to host my family and friends in a chateau in Champagne for my 50th birthday! I chose this one because it looked like it jumped off the page of a Brontë novel. After reading reviews and looking in a map, I wasn’t expecting anything near by. So we had planned to enjoy some time at the chateau, have a birthday party, then head out on day trips. Épernay/Reims and Dijon are all about 2 hours away. It was perfect. I could not have been happier with my decision. We very comfortably fit 13 women and my 82 yo father in all the rooms. The house was spacious and we never felt crowded. The town is quaint and beautiful with a store for groceries. An easy walk just across the street. And the views along the Seine are picturesque and lovely. Jan Michele and Valerie could not have been more gracious. They received us on our first night and made the check in process seemless. We also had a wonderful champagne tasting which was delightful and a great way to get the lay of the land! They were always available to help us and delivered the best breakfast to us each morning. The pastries were truly the best we had on our trip! The chateau was exactly as I’d hoped and would recommend this to anyone looking for a good spot for a large group to spend some fun days together or as a good base if you have transportation to travel around Champagne and Burgundy. And don’t mind the ghost. It seems they throw a party with lots of laughter on the final night. Paybacks maybe ;)"
