"We thoroughly enjoyed this citizenM hotel experience. We had never stayed at this hotel chain and never in downtown DC so I was nervous what to expect when I found a great rate here. The whole building is decorated so colorful and inviting! The unusual location of the reception desk in the middle of the lobby was manned by the friendliest guy who was patient with customers not knowing how to use the techy checkin procedure. He gave us spot on advice about eating and seeing the surrounding area....

"I didn’t like it at first because the carpet in the halls were dirty and no AC in the halls, but they fixed that the first day there. The area outside smells like MJ but I believe that is some what normal for DC. The hotel is 15 min walk from the Union Station where you can get transported to see the museum and monuments. Grocery market around the block and a lot of places to eat. Best part about the hotel was the inside pool and spa. No worries about weather or bugs. "
