"Hummingbird Suites" is approximately one mile from the main entrance to Acadia National Park. This is an immaculate, private, one-bedroom suite with beautiful hardwood floors. We had a wonderful time at the Hummingbird Suite. Everything we needed was supplied. Really enjoyed the Hummingbird theme throughout the suite. Being located near Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor was a definite plus.

Relaxing Maine week.
The suite had plenty of room for two. It was clean, comfortable and kitchen was well stock with all the necessary tools to cook and you could purchase fresh eggs from the host. Grounds of property were very nice and enjoyed watching the ducks and chickens. Great location to Bar Harbor.

Peaceful setting, great location
We loved the peaceful setting away from the crowds of town but still was close to Acadia entrance. Hosts were attentive and unit was clean, comfortable and well equipped. FYI, the air conditioner is not central air but is a wall unit in the main room. We left the bedroom door open for some of the cool air at night. Unfortunately, the unit was loud but ear plugs when sleeping took care of that. Probably most of the year a/c won't be needed anyway. Loved the ducks, chicks and geese in the back! They are adorable!

Enjoyable stay.
My family of 4 had a nice stay at this apartment. Had everything we needed. Very much enjoyed the sights and sounds of the garden: birds, butterflies, trees, flowers, ducks and geese. Location was perfect, just a few minutes drive to both Acadia and harbor. Will recommend this place to friends.

Hummingbird suite
The property is amazing with chickens, ducks, geese, and hummingbirds. The suite is perfect for a short term stay with a hopeful host and only 4 minutes to the visitor center where you can ride the free connector bus throughout Acadia and several off site areas.

Beautiful suite - Super close to Bar Harbor
The humming bird suite was a few miles away from Bar Harbor and had everything we needed. The property had a beautiful wildflower garden and got to see humming birds everyday. They also had chickens and geese in the property and some fresh eggs to buy. Kevin and Donna were wonderful to talk to. We really enjoyed our stay here!

Great Accommodations
This is the perfect place for a couple to stay if they are visiting Bar Harbor or Acadia as both are minutes away. Everything is clean and functional in the apartment. The kitchen is well equipped. It is close to the highway so there is a good deal of traffic and traffic noise but easy to ignore since everything else was perfect. The Kane’s are nice people and live on site.

Hummingbird House
It was a cute suite. I was under the impression it was a two bedroom and it was only one bedroom. It did work out ok because there was a futon to sleep on. It was close to Acadia National Park and not very far from Bar Harbor. There is a lot of traffic going by day and night. You need to really watch the traffic coming from the right as you face the house. It’s kind of a blind spot

Our review with out the polish: we stayed in the humming bird suite. The place was so clean you could eat off the floor, the grounds were lovely and very well taken care of. I only met the hostess Donna, lovely person inside and out. Water pressure was amazing, bedding and towels clean and not a billion years old. Lighting for getting in and out very good and turn on by themselves, grill wonderful. Everything you could need in the kitchen. Internet was 3 g and tv had a number of station. Drive way paved. flowers and garden are lovely. Chickens on the property, we could only hear them when the windows were open.... yes there was a rooster he starts at first light but is in his house till 9, didn't bother us and they were a hoot to watch. We live in rural Pa. at night we hear crickets and tree frogs, the property is right on Rt 3 the major road in and out of Bar Harbor. So to us it was noisy with traffic. Trucks and bikes noise would vibrate threw the bedroom floor and jack breaks you could feel in bed. Could the host do anything about it NO. maybe a rug? We could not open the windows at night and we moved to the pull out in the living room the 2nd night and closed the bedroom door which helped. Other then that we would highly recommend staying here.

Fall Hike trip to Acadia
We traveled to Maine to hike in Acadia National Park and enjoy what Bar Harbor has to offer. Even though we realized we were hitting the end of the fall foliage (while still incredible) and many businesses started to close up for the season, this didn’t stop us from coming! The Hummingbird Suites was perfectly located amongst it all. So cozy, comfortable and accommodating at the end of a full day of exploring and hiking. A home away from home! Kevin also gave some great recommendations for a couple of hikes in Acadia that didn’t disappoint.
