Great stop over
Great stop over, near Barcelona Saints ( central station) but in a quiet street 10 minutes walk. Small hotel, new, small but comfortable room, no complaints at all. Added extra, lockers to leave luggage after check out.

Excellent location away from the hordes of tourist
The hotel is located in the Sants neighborhood away from the crowds of tourist. It's in a residentials area with plenty of shops and affordable places to eat. The Metro (L1) is within an easy walking distance. It's a quick six stops to plaza Catalunya. The staff at the hotel was helpful and the room was clean and updated to a modern aesthetic. I enjoyed my five nights stay here and I recommend it.

The place has a good vibe.
8 day stay . god location if using the MTB is ok. I would jave prefeered being closer to the East end of the Rumbla but prive was 30% more. Front dest very helpful. This was a small room, a comfortable bed with a good size modern bathroom. The place has a good vibe. I recommend if being "cozy " is not a problem

The staff was very friendly, the location was in a nice quiet neighborhood that was very close to Plaça d'Espanya by metro. A nice room with good lighting and A/C that worked great! Also, the free apples were delicious!

Unfriendly Staff and dubious management practices. Checked in with a friend on a twin room, and required our passports to check in. Gov't issued ID does not work for them. My friend booked the room via Expedia and was asked for a security deposit at check in. He used his credit card. Next day I booked my own room via Expedia as I needed more time and space to sleep. I was asked a security deposit at check in and I presented a 100 Euro bill. I was presented a paper receipt/instructions which I thought included a record of my deposit. I did not bother to review it at that time as I was in a hurry to move my stuff. At check out, I was in hurry to catch my train, I forgot to retrieve my security deposit. I emailed the Hotel to inquire and have them check their records. I got a reply back saying "SmartHotel does not demand a deposit if booking is made via Expedia". This to me is untrue. In this trip, I was all over Europe for 90 days, and all my hotel bookings were made thru Expedia, and every single hotel I stayed in demanded a security deposit. Really Smart huh!

This was a basic hotel that was about 10 min. walk to Barcelona Sants. There wasn't enough space to store our luggage for family of 4. There are a lot of restaurants within 5 min. walking distance going towards the train station.
