"The staff, the food at both dinner and breakfast were excellent. Parking is just across a quiet road. Our room however left us literally cold. Old building, 'wavy' floors, single glazed casement windows facing the prevailing - brisk - wind and an outside temperature of close to freezing. Then the heating gets switched off for the night ! Considering that this was the most expensive 'one nighter' on our recent trip, we were less than satisfied."

"The String Of Horses was an amazing place to stay. A quietly located inn it has superbly appointed rooms - the bathroom was amazing and the bed large and so comfortable; a lively restaurant serving quality high food and comfortable bar with an open fireplace. Staff are friendly and provide an amazing service from front of house and throughout the bar and restaurant. The breakfast service is high quality too with lovely food prepared to order.
