"We booked the cottage last minute on our way to the east coast after our previously booked lodging cancelled. The owner was quick to respond and the property worked perfect for our needs. It was a nice place to relax for the evening and get some sleep before we got back on the road. The kennel was also great for the dogs after a long day in the car! We did note there is one panel shorter than the rest right along the dog house structure. We were only there for one night and didn't look around...

"Charming 1800's house, comfortable accommodations, large supportive beds, oversized bathrooms, well equipped kitchen and very large dining room. I stayed here with 5 other women and we had plenty of room to spread out after a long day of shopping. If you love vintage houses and creaky floors this place is for you! We will be back!"

"If you want peace and quiet with nobody around, then this is the place for you. The facilities in the house are great, but the grounds are great, too. Both the front and the back offer privacy, with a fire ring out back. It is a very short drive to Lake Wilhelm, making this property a nice base of operations if you are into flat water kayaking, fishing, etc. "

"First of all the pictures on the VRBO posting do not do this rental justice. This is a gorgeous cabin nestled in a very private wooded area with a pond. The set up inside the cabin is very comfortable, warm and inviting. We arrived to a bottle of local wine on the table; Check-in was extremely easy. Check out was the same. "Super convenient access to the Allegheny River Trail for outstanding biking, hiking, and fishing opportunities! There is an accessible fishing spot about a 50 minute bike ride upstream for walleye and smallmouth bass, .2 miles after the spooky tunnel (Rockland Tunnel). Bring a light! (There is parking, if you'd rather drive). It had rained quite a bit, the river flow was too fast, and the weeds were out of control, but your mileage may vary (it was late November, so we weren't expecting great conditions). Kahle lake is a short drive from the house if you're after large mouth bass. The river by the house is fairly shallow, so I'm not sure how well you'd do there. The pro move is to bring a small boat with a trolling motor so you can get to the deeper holes north (past the spooky tunnel) or south (near Parker or Foxburg). A kayak might work if you're in good shape! Great spot. Would stay again. p.s. There is a bonus cat"
