"If you don't want the noise, hustle and bustle of the city, stay at Borahead Lodge. A peaceful, quiet cottage only minutes from dining, groceries and Dublin. It's a short drive (40 minutes) from Dublin airport. 20 minute drive to the Red Cow park and ride Luas station so you don't have to fight Dublin downtown traffic. Bridie (our friendly host) gave great advice about the area and shared pears from her orchard. If we're ever back in Ireland, we will be staying here."

"Yvonne and Peter couldn't be more accommodating! Yvonne met us to discuss the cottage. She had nice touches to make everything cozy. It was incredibly clean! We felt at home immediately! It was a wonderful base camp for Kilkenny and several other places. We loved Portlaoise and enjoyed several trips into town ( only a 10 minute drive) We loved their dogs and enjoyed spending time getting to know them. ( Our choice, they are very respectful of privacy) I absolutely recommend their place 100%!!"

"This is a quiet group of cottages set around an old house near the village of Donard. It is of a very high standard with modern facilities and plenty of space; the owner is charming and informative. Very easy to get to Dublin: 40 mins to the Luas stop. Rewarding visits within an hour: Glendalough, Russborough, Wicklow Mountains etc. Donard has two lively bars and a shop; Blessington has a lot of shops. Roads are excellent - though very few cars - and it's 1:45 easy driving from Rosslare....

"Place was quiet and secluded. My phone has practically 0 service and WiFi only worked for me outside. For 2 of us visiting the area for golf and stretch the Euro, it was perfect. We did run into some minor issues but didn’t get any response from Sykes management. Bathroom light stopped working during middle of our trip but we didn’t know how to get a hold of anyone and vrbo messaging didn’t work. They provide washer but there was no laundry detergent. "We had such a beautiful break in this hotel!! It is so unique with so much character & charm. Breakfast in 1180 room was beautiful and Dinner in The Drawing room felt very special. Staff are so friendly and helpful, Spa and Thermal suite was amazing, Room was massive and comfortable. Highly recommended, thank you."
