"Location in beach bungalows world class, service is good, food is excellent
Main hotel shabby, whole place needs updating
Beach bungalows are most expensive but worth it for then use alone but badly let down by
No tea or coffee making facilities
No iron, and never got one after asking each day
Lighting inside is appalling and cannot read, put on a make up, see clothes properly in wardrobe "
"The public area noise was overwhelming, and amplified noise continued each night until at least 11 pm. The food for breakfast left much to be desired, and the dinner options were very limited: either a tired buffet or a pleasant cafe at the water's edge with limited food options. We will not return or advise friends to visit Fleur d'Epee."
"An absolute gem of a property. A beautiful restoration. Wonderful welcoming staff. Simple well designed and supremely comfortable bedroom. Everything very well thought out. Best continental breakfast I can remember in a hotel. Would not hesitate to recommend. "
"Such fantastic, straight-forward service. Easy check-in, daily room cleaning that smelled amazing, and the grounds were impeccable. I could not have asked for more, I travel frequently and this hotel has the best, bed, pillows, sheets and bathroom. I have nothing negative to say. It was perfection. "
"Lovely location and the quiet beach was good with enjoyable swimming and snorkling The facilities and service were a bit underwhelming. The breakfast restaurant is expensive and the bar not open and the beach restaurant not open each day. Housekeeping didn't always happen without asking. "
"Staff was very friendly, accommodations were clean and neat, appliances worked perfectly, pool and hot tub were clean everyday. Great location to see Basse-Terre island. Free parking for your rented car (which you will need to see the island). We were in a Studio with a kitchenette. Bigger grocery store was about 20 minutes away. only 15 minutes to Deshae (where they filmed Death in Paradise). We had a great time."
"The property was lovely and very clean with all outdoor dining. Small birds flew in and out as we ate, yet I never saw a mess from them. The hotel cat was very friendly and visited our balcony most evenings to receive pets.
The breakfast buffet was ample and good. They were very accommodating for my gluten intolerant husband, purchasing several gluten- free types of bread and cookies for him without asking.
The website led me to believe they were more prepared for English speaking guests...

"Beautiful rooms in bungalows overlooking the sea. Big infinity pool. Onsite bar and restaurant but also close to the waterfront restaurants at Deshaies"
