"When we arrived mid-afternoon at Sugar Cane Club, the lobby was full of suitcases and fully dressed folks sleeping on the sofas. I guess these were post-checkout guests waiting for the night flights home, but it wasn't a very appealing sight. The front desk seemed disorganized, but after a short delay we were checked in and shown to our room. Room (401) was a large suite with a comfortable bed but otherwise dated and not very comfortable couch and chairs. A refresh is definitely in order. ...

"The food and drinks were incredible. Excellent location and great beach. Not quite an all inclusive as you're limited to one visit to the sushi restaurant and one visit to the steakhouse. "Great place for 3 night stay on our 2 week self drive tour round Barbados. We chose the Island Inn for the location near to Bridgetown ( about 1 km and walkable along the Road and beach) and the beaches ( Peebles and Carlyle). Not the most attractive area with limited hotels, dining options nearby but it was tucked away and very private in the grounds. "I'm a pulmonary & critical care physician in Florida, USA. I have lived in many different countries and traveled to more than 40 different countries on 6 different continents. I love nature, healthy living, good-hearted people and delicious food. My week at Naniki cottages under the guidance of my friend and mentor Tom (the owner), has changed my outlook at life. This place is a piece of paradise. No mosquitoes, nothing poisonous or harmful on the island, right next to the best surfing in the Caribbean (the soup bowl) and overall a therapeutic retreat. That mountain in St. Joseph is ranked 3rd in the world in longevity; most people live to 100 years old. I will be going back again and again as I intend to purchase a plot of land in the area to build my dream vacation home for my family one day. "
