"I live in Alameda and we've had issues with our apartment bathroom twice since we've lived there and needed to rent a room for convenient showering. I like the Coral Reef because it's local, it's close to everything (it's a small Island), and it has a workable kitchen as well. It was PERFECT for what we needed. And the staff is super nice as well, so that's a plus."

"My husband and I had previously stayed at the cottage. John and Arthur are great hosts! Helped me with restaurant ideas for a surprise birthday gathering for our daughter. Everything you need is provided and if you have a question or request it is answered promptly. Lovely setting, 3 min. walk to downtown Alameda to shops and restaurants. We enjoyed the beautiful, peaceful garden with lounge chairs provided. Canaries singing and a koi pond. All in all, a great stay! "

"A perfect place for my family to stay for the week. There were 4 adults and one 4 year old - there were even toys for him to play with! The living room was super spacious, it was on a quiet street in a quiet neighborhood even though it appears to be in a major road. Jerry was super responsive and incredibly kind and generous. It even felt like a real home, as opposed to many rental homes that feel cold and vacant. Overall, a great experience!"

"Place was perfect for party of 3, very comfy king bed and above average sleeper sofa. Nice sheets too. Bathroom is on the small side but very clean/nice (water pressure was phenomenal). Air conditioners/heaters worked well, nice sized tv with typical streaming options. Bikes came in handy (cool beach cruisers). Was able to do late check-out, which we greatly appreciated. Good communication from owner before and during stay. Will book again next year."
