Surprised that coffee maker not in room and you had to pay for coffee. Hôtel owner very helpful when we had to stay longer than expected due to a medical issue. Hôtel clean. No elevator

A quiant hotel in a very old building. It is easy to walk to the center of Bayeaux with all of its historical points, shopping a restaurants. Yet it is far enough out to find parking easily and drive around the Normandy coast. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. I had no problems as an English speaker.

First if you are arriving by train between 12-4, plan on finding a place to sit with your luggage. Reception is closed. We didn’t realize this and had the taxi drop us off there. Secondly, there is no elevator and the staircase is narrow and winding. Thank goodness for my hubby! Third, the rooms are gray and gloomy. No air conditioning but it wasn’t bad. The mattress was hard and very uncomfortable. Not to mention my husband could hardly turn around in the shower. Our friends shower was slightly bigger. Oh and they said they could hear us walking above them. And lastly, don’t expect any amenities. You get a canister of soap and some paper cups. No water, no shampoo…we did manage but will be more careful next time in our bookings. I gave an average rating because it was clean and the lady who manages was very kind.

Centrally located with free parking 2 minutes walk away the room was lovely. Very private and quiet our host gave us plenty of information prior to an on arrival. She was very helpful. The room was clean and had simple self catering which was nice after a long day touring Normandy. All the local attractions are in walking distance with good food options very close by

Really enjoyed the location, close but not too close, to the town centre. The staff were warm, friendly and professional. We particularly liked that there was safe storage for our rented bikes. Enjoyed our stay thoroughly!
