Not value for the money

The property is clean but has no amenities. The swimming pool doesn’t work. It’s overpriced and not worth the money. Four dogs roam around freely at night, which is scary.

A spectacularly renovated old house with lovely fixtures and fittings and wonderful furnishings. Light and spacious. On arrival, the room that we had booked was already occupied. We were looking forward to sitting on the balcony after our evening meal. Only 24hours later were we able to occupy the room we had booked. We were further disappointed that the bath in both bathrooms was out of order and could not be used. We understood that there was a restaurant and we intended to eat at the property each evening but we were told the first evening that this was not possible and we went out to eat but did not feel safe walking on the streets in this area. The next evening when we returned, there were no staff present and thereby no possibility of an evening meal. The young lady who helped in the kitchen was very sweet and made sure that our laundry was done and hung out in the garden to dry. She also found us a box to put our lunch in and we were able to keep our food and drinks items in the fridge in the kitchen. We were unable to use the swimming pool as it remained filthy throughout our stay.

Bon séjour maison d'hôtes Coignet

Nous sommes chaleureusement accueillis à notre arrivé avec un verre de jus de fruits, dans une magnifique maison coloniale, de l'espace salon à la salle à manger tout est fait pour que nous nous sentions à l'aise. Les chambres sont à l'image de l'accueil avec beaucoup d'espace, la clim si besoin et une connexion Wi-Fi. Le ménage est fait tous les jours et bien sûr la maison soit en ville mais reculée dans le jardin nous avons passé de bonnes nuits au calme. En résumé nous recommandons cet hébergement sans hésiter.

Just perfect! You should stay here in Mauritius :) We had a marvelous time on vacation staying at Masion D'hote Coignet. Thanks to Henry and Catherine, we have had a great memory in Mauritius. Location - We rent a car so it was easy to get everywhere. Room - Everyday clean & tide, Spacious! Breakfast - It was always excellent. Everything is perfect so we would highly recomment this place. the house was very clean polished wooden floors guest were made to feel part of the family there,breakfast was excellent, good food, sadly no coffee in the rooms, and lack of hot water to shower or bath, but really comfortable friendly and very very clean. wifi good in rooms and in the house in general
