"We think the hotel was OK, needs a bit of an update, faster lift, better beds, a spare pillow should be provided, bigger TV in the room/ too small for the room size. The wifi was very slow and not really suitable to try and use for business purpose in my experience. "Wir haben eine schöne Zeit in der Residence Lichtenvoorde verbracht. Die Anlage ist ruhig und hat eigentlich alles was man braucht an Infrastruktur. Es ist nur schade, dass der Park nicht groß genug ist für einen Brötchenservice oder ein Restaurant mit Frühstücksangebot. Allerdings war das Besteck bei Ankunft nicht sauber und man sollte die Silikonfugen im Bad mal erneuern. Das ist ein Aufwand von 1-2 Stunden und alle paar Jahre einfach notwendig. "

De living is echter wel klein als je er met meer dan 4 personen zou verblijven. Handig om vooraf te weten, is dat er een boiler is. Dit kan lastig zijn als je met meer dan 2 personen bent. De zoon van de eigenaren was erg vriendelijk en enorm behulpzaam."

"A lovely air conditioned room on the hottest day the Netherlands has experienced (over 40 degrees) I made full use of small but welcoming hotel pool and (ironically) the sauna. The hotel also has a small exercise room with bicycles and tread mill. Best of all, however, was the food. Some of the best food I have eaten, the chef should be congratulated. "

"While the owners were very pleasant and the bed was comfortable, the floors in the room were disgusting. Lots of dirt on the floors with areas that were sticky. The bathroom floors were tile and very slippery when exiting the shower. There is no storage in the room for your clothes and the television sits below the bed making it impossible to view. The room could also use a mirror in addition to the small mirror above the bathroom sink. The sheet was dirty but was not changed by housekeeping....

Didn't receive the promised confirmation email so called the hotel to check and it hadn't happened at all. Thank you so much to the guy at the hotel for re-arranging everything so perfectly, otherwise we'd have turned up without a reservation. Next time we'll book with the hotel directly. "Second time we have stayed here. The location is excellent. The outside space and grounds are beautiful The staff we met were lovely, very pleasant. The breakfast room is huge and we enjoyed the breakfast too Negatives: it’s extremely dated and in some places it is actually shabby. The bed(s) were singles pulled together, not fastened, so they separated if you turned over during the night. The beds also had very ill fitting toppers on them which also moved.
