"The location of this hotel is pretty good - it's close to the Forbidden City (20 to 30 minutes walk). Generally it's a historical and very mature hotel - nothing fancy. The room was clean but only had the inside view of the restaurant. Staff was reasonably friendly. The areas around is very safe and plenty of restaurants to choose from. "A perfect little gem of a hotel right in the centre of the hutongs. Very clean and welcoming with superb service from their staff (who speak English). The hotel is like a little museum to Chinese shadow art with so much information, examples and a library. An added bonus was the actual shadow art performance and demonstration by the puppeteer. "
