"Good hotel, with very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast very varied. Didn't realise until we were there that the restaurant was not open for evening meals, luckily there a couple of places to eat opposite the hotel. Very spacious room, lots of storage and great having a coffee machine. Had a bit of a problem with the pillows not very comfy, but only there for 2 nights. Our room 801 was a bit dark as in the corner of the building. Hotel in a good location for town, beach and tram"

"The location of the hotel is within walking distance of the Blankenberge Train Station. We stayed two night/three days before catching the tram to Zeebrugge for a cruise (easy to do). The front staff were friendly. The room was comfortable and we slept well after the traffic died down. The only negative was that our room was next to a major street so it was noisy. "The Upstairs hotel was a very stylish and fun hotel just steps from the beach. The staff was really friendly and helpful! One small point is if you do book one of the small/cheap rooms, they aren't easily accessible via the lifts. You will need to go down a couple of flights of stairs which can be tough with heavy luggage. Otherwise I highly recommend this hotel when staying in Ostend!"

"The hotel is well located in the city centre but not frontline beach. Quite a basic hotel with no frills or air conditioning in the room. The mattress on the bed was probably the softest I've ever slept on and really not my style. No 24 hour reception, in fact it closes at 6pm which is not great. On the night we stayed this price was way to high for the quality. "

"We stayed for one night as we previously had a day trip last year and loved the area, so thought we would return for a night away! Fantastic location ! Right on the main high st but only a stone throw from the beach too so we will definitely return in the summer next year! The room was really comfortable and the breakfast included was perfect!
