"Beautiful heritage hotel. Easy walking to The Star casino and complex and skydeck, the pedestrian bridge to South Bank and the city cats on the river. Dining was lovely at Ryan's on the park and breakfast at The Lab, all within the hotel. Easy underground parking. The botanical gardens are close by and the free city loop bus around the city. Very helpful staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay. "

"The room has a balcony and it was relatively clean, the bed had a spring sticking out a bit but it was avoidable. The hotel is in an old building with quite a few steps leading to the reception area and more steps into the rooms out the back of the building, unless you get a room close to the reception area. The location is excellent, however if you're lugging a heavy suitcase don't walk from the valley train station, it's mostly uphill."
