Welcome to the Basalt Bungalow! The Basalt Bungalow is a fully furnished two bedroom, three bed (1 king, 1 queen, 1 queen sleeper sofa), one bath home located in the ever popular Westside Newport Avenue Neighborhood in Bend! The Bungalow welcomes you with a large covered porch and private fenced yard with a large hot tub to soak in anytime of the year! Perch with a good book in the sunny bay window in the living room or find a sweet nook outside in the large yard. I think you'll love this westside getaway...

DOWNTOWN LOCATION
Only steps away from many local favorite spots! Grab some baked goods at Nancy P's Baking and a cup of fresh coffee at Backporch Roasters. The local gourmet grocer Newport Market, and great eats like Chow, Spork and Kebaba are just one block away! Mirror Pond and Downtown Bend are only 1-5 blocks away...and of course Mt Bachelor is just 20 minutes up the road. Come stay in Bend and live like a local!

HEATING & COOLING
This classic bungalow sits in the summer shade of maple, pine, plum and juniper trees. The window A/C unit in the living room does a great job cooling the home off in the summer. There is also a central fan to cool you off in the summer. Central heat will keep you warm on chilly nights at this sweet Bend bungalow!

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS
The Basalt Bungalow sleeps 6 guests. You'll have 1 king bed, 1 queen bed and a queen hide-a-bed couch in the living room. A Pack & Play Crib is also provided for your little one if needed (bring your own baby sheets). Sheets are provided for the hide-a-bed and extra blankets are provided to keep you extra cozy!

KITCHEN AND DINING
Enjoy a spacious fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops. This classic eat-in kitchen has an expandable table to comfortably seat up to 6 folks. The outdoor patio table also seats 6 and comes with a propane BBQ for grilling your favorites! A high chair is provided.

OUTDOOR SPACES & SALT WATER HOT TUB
Outside you'll find an open, spacious landscaped, grassy yard and blooming trees. The private salt water hot tub is perfect for a soak any time of year! We do ask you to be whisper quiet in the hot tub after 10pm. Feel free to fire up the gas grill for a BBQ and enjoy the sunny patio on those perfect Bend afternoons. Detached from the house, is a locked shed for storing your gear year-round. You'll also find bikes and helmets in the shed for your use. Please bring your own helmet for the perfect fit. No smoking of anything please.

PARKING
You will have your own private alley parking spot for 1-2 vehicles. There is also on-street parking in front of the home.

PET-FRIENDLY WITH APPROVAL
The Basalt Bungalow is an occasionally pet-friendly home with an enclosed yard. Pet sheets are provided for furniture. If you plan to bring your sweet pup(s), kindly let us know prior and remember to pick up your piles! A pet fee applies to each reservation.

FREE WIFI AND SMART ROKU TV
Free 100 Mbps internet. Wifi speed test on a mobile phone is 66 Mbps / 19.1 Mbps. The Smart ROKU TV offers 350+ free channels. Bring your streaming subscriptions so you can stream your favorite channels. There are 2 Smart TVs in the home located in the living room and in the king bedroom. Check the window seat for a selection of games too.

This home is nestled into a lovely, peaceful, quiet residential neighborhood and is not appropriate for loud and late parties. City of Bend quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am and are enforced as are Bend's Good Neighbor Guidelines. Between 10pm-8am, especially when outside enjoying the decks, please keep noise levels very low and be considerate to our neighbors. Great stay!
The house was perfect for our friend group of six! Had all the amenities listed and some more. Really enjoyed our stay here! Close by a market and many breakfast and coffee spot. Short drive to Galveston st, downtown and old mill.

Cute, older house on a quiet street, walking distance to brunch, 1 block from nice grocery store. It was 95F degrees the weekend we visited Bend, the house was cool inside and the yard was beautifully shaded by a big leafy tree and fully fenced.

Great location
We stayed here for a weekend that included floating the river and a concert at Hayden Homes. The house was perfectly suited to our needs (two couples) with comfy beds, great A/C, and the perfect location to walk to the market, restaurants, and even home from the concert venue. We had plenty of space to leave our paddle boards out to dry and enjoyed sitting on the porch in the evenings. Will keep this place on the short list for future visits to Bend!

We had a great time
We had a wonderful time at this property. Myself, my fiancé and 2 friends spent a long weekend in Bend with our 2 dogs. The property is great for dog owners. Spacious & fully fenced yard. The kitchen was well-stocked, and the grocery store was just across the street which was a plus. The location was great, many cafes and restaurants within a 5-minute walk, and downtown Bend was a 20-minute walk. The owners were very responsive and accommodated our last-minute request to extend our stay. We would definitely come back!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration at this cozy home. The hot tub was a highlight! And the neighborhood was amazing -- walking distance to downtown! I would definitely stay here again.

Loved the location and house. Saltwater hot tub was wonderful and the king bed was comfortable. The house is within walking distance to natural grocery store, excellent coffee, and restaurants. We used the bikes once and that was fun. We’ll definitely return!

The house and location were great. That being said, the A/C was ok in respect to keeping the living area cool, but the lacked in the rest of the house, including the master. The hot tub hours were sort of bad though. Having the jets be too loud for neighbors after dark, when it's cool enough to enjoy was a bit lackluster. I'd rent from this company again, but I'd pass on getting a unit with a hot tub again.

Great location for the price. Needs a little bit of upkeep. Hot tub controllers didn’t work, broken hairdryer, rusty teapot. Very heavy air freshener smell when we arrived. Beds were comfortable and sheets were high-quality. A nice quiet neighborhood close to breweries and parks. We didn’t have a dog with us, but it is a great property for those who have one. Fully fenced yard, pet friendly interior.

We stayed in the bungalow for a wildly snowy week in which the road conditions weren't always accommodating. We arrived an hour early and had to leave an hour later than planned but the hosts were gracious and kindly let us in early and checked in to see that we were doing okay. The hot tub was an added bonus during the cold week.

Convenient and relaxing getaway
The property is just as advertised, a quaint little bungalow, in a quiet neighborhood, within easy walking distance to the river and downtown Bend. And just within a block or a few are many great restaurant options, coffee shops, and a fantastic little market just around the corner for all your supplies. The back yard was so peaceful and private for quiet relaxing. The home is thoughtfully supplied, such as frozen pint glasses in the freezer, and a basket of "pet sheets" so you don't have to be anxious about the impact of your fur baby. No issues with the entire process of booking, check-in, and check-out. We even chatted with the nice cleaning person who was just leaving when we arrived, she was very friendly!
