Unsurpassed combination of charm and location, this legendary cottage will create an experience long remembered.

It’s no wonder this bustling location earns a Walk Score® of 86. It is at the crossroads of all things going on in the center of Bend.

This cozy apartment is located across the street from Drake Park, site of the Deschutes River float drop off and numerous festivals and music! At the park, you can catch a free Munch ‘n Music event on a postcard summer evening, or a year-round saunter along the river.

Walk a couple of blocks to Bend’s premiere downtown shopping area home, home to many award-winning shops and dining experiences. For a downtown location, it doesn’t get any better than this. There are endless choices for dinner, shopping, people-watching, refreshing craft beers, or a cup of locally roasted coffee. Street festivals, art fairs, live music and Tower Theater events dot the calendar all year. In the summer, you will be first in line at the downtown farmer’s market.

You are situated just a block from the Galveston Bridge overlooking the river. The vibrant Galveston corridor is home to a plethora of brew pubs, restaurants, food carts, and coffee shops.

Bring your bikes and easily extend your touring experience through the historic neighborhoods to the Box Factory, Whitewater Park, and The Old Mill where you can spend the afternoon shopping, movie-going, trekking on numerous river trails, and wine tasting. When you return, lock the two-wheelers in our shed for safekeeping.

From here, you have easy access to all outdoor activities. Mt. Bachelor and the Cascade Lakes Highway are just a short drive away.

If you need to take a breather inside, settle into the love seat and enjoy the infra-red fireplace, HD SmartTV, BluRay, read a book, or enjoy what WiFi can offer.

The efficient kitchen is fully stocked with utensils for virtually anything you want to put on the menu. There is cold water filtration at the kitchen sink, so fill the flask before setting out in the morning.

You also have the option of firing up the gas grill on the patio and enjoying your favorite homemade alfresco dinner, looking out at the park and river.

The bathroom is tastefully done and provides a combo tub and shower.

Keep in mind this is a multi-unit building. Each of the apartments in this wonderful fourplex home feels quite private but they do have some shared walls. October at Drake Cottage
We were very happy with our stay at Drake Cottage. Although on a fairly busy street, the proximity to Drake Park, the river trail and downtown made it worth it. We were able to walk and ride our bikes to these places with ease, and having access to the storage shed was essential when we weren’t on our bikes.

Great location
This is right across the street from Drake Park and in walking distance to downtown and many go to places. Bed was large with nice bedding and pillows. The app that they give you is super user friendly.

Short and sweet
My sister and I were both in love with this little house. The parking was a bit tricky as google wanted to take us to the front door but once we figured that out and got inside we were impressed. Right on the river, very wackable to shops and restaurants and of course breweries. The house was updated and clean would definitely love to stay again. Oh and the water pressure is amazing!

Great Bend Location
This is a great location to enjoy what Bend has to offer. We were able to walk to food trucks, a brewery and restaurants. We borrowed the provided tubes for a tubing run on the river, which is right out the door. We took advantage of the town's bike rental options and did a long ride right from the house. Nice stay.

Pink Martini concert
Great little bungalow, clean and comfortable, albeit it's location makes hanging outside a little noisier than desired. Pleasant walk to old Bend along the river. We didn't use the kitchen much, but it was well-stocked. Comfortable bed and nice linens. Check-in/out was a breeze. We would rent again.

8 days in Bend
This was a great little spot for my husband and me to get to know Bend. We really enjoyed being close to Drake park and the water. Being able to walk to downtown was also perfect. The only drawback is that it is a bit noisy with traffic since the bedroom window is right on the street. But other than that we loved this place.

Cute and cozy but loud
This cottage was comfortable and cozy. However, the bedroom window faces a busy street and I could hear traffic easily. The first night they were paving/doing road work all night (would have been nice to know, I would have selected a different location as I was on a working trip.) The hot water is very slow to come in the bathroom sink. Parking was a nightmare - one night I had to park two block away, maybe there are more cottages than spaces. It was very clean and the furnishings were comfortable, and I really appreciated the iron and ironing board!

Bend Visit
A cute cottage that served us well during an exploratory stay in Bend. Loved the proximity to downtown and walk ability to trails, restaurants, venues, etc. The info book was very helpful regarding operation of the TV, the heater/cooler, and tips about the area. Other reviewers have noted the noise, which is definitely present due to the major road along the park, but it gets quiet at night, and anyone who lives in an urban setting will not be bothered by the sounds of the city. Definitely will stay there again!

Great spot for exploring Bend
Superb location. Cozy but fine for two people. Responsive to questions/issues. Needs a more thorough welcome guide. Two issues: bed squeaks badly; streaming tv only has Roku free - no subscribed services ( no Netflix, Prime, etc).

Cozy and well-situated
Adequate space for two. House heater setup ok. Hot water and appliances very good. Cleanliness, furniture, carpet and repair very good. Bed is a very firm king and for us, excellent. Good bedding. Neighborhood is upscale residential on the river and park with about :20 min walk to nearest downtown restaurants, coffee. A little less to the west side establishments across the bridge. Onsite parking for a Toyota 4Runner or other large SUV a little dicey. Security of door lock very good. The provided info book about the house and area is fine, TV operation might be a challenge for folks not used to navigating multiple remotes and onscreen app-searching.
