Great house but minimal AC
The house is perfect for a big group with multiple bedrooms with attached bathrooms and a large open common area/kitchen. We had small issues like an extremely loose kitchen faucet (they sent someone right out to fix it) broken bikes (there were plenty of others) and broken ping pong paddles (they brought out replacements) but the thing that was the biggest issue was the AC. When you walk in there is a large sign on the thermostat stating you cannot set it below 72 degrees Fahrenheit or the unit will “freeze over.” We had 12 people in the house and it was 95 degrees out - 72 was not cutting it. Everyone had trouble sleeping because of this issue. While it is a great house and the management is prompt and responsive, I would be wary if you are hoping for the home to be cool and comfortable.

Caldera stay
Our family was impressed with the size of this house, allowing us all to have our own private space, including bedroom and bathroom! The outdoor area was exceptional, with a pond to visit right out the backdoor. On arrival, the hot tub was murky and we were disappointed that is was not safe to get in. After reaching VRBO, a technician was sent out promptly to fix the water, which was fantastic. Unfortunately, for the remainder of our stay, the water really never cleared and it smelled funny. No blame placed on VRBO or the hot tub guy....the hot tub is really old and quite dilapidated. The controls are not even readable. So, we didn't want to risk our health by using it. After a hard day of playing, we always look forward to using the hot tub in the evening, so this was a big disappointment for us. Other than this issue, we enjoyed our stay and had a blast! It sure was great having a Pool Table and Ping Pong Table! The a/c worked wonderfully, which was a bonus. We will consider staying again, only if that ancient Hot Tub is replaced! Thanks!

Annual family vacation
The layout & location of the house worked great for our group; we loved Caldera..the house has experienced quite a lot of wear and tear, the air conditioning did not work well... the house was not very well stocked; but adequate & we made do. Vacasa was responsive in working on issues that came up during our stay, but unable to get repairs scheduled in time before we left.

Great for varied family ages
I was worried because one review said it was dusty and dirty. My experience was very clean. Light fixtures, moldings, beams, bathrooms, bedding, all were pristine. Well laid out home.

Outdated and dusty worn out house.
Our family was really looking forward to our stay. We were disappointed and I will be completely objective and honest with my comments so the owners can deliver a better product/service: The floor was incredibly, greasy, had spills and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a really long time. The large beams had and probably still have a 1/2” thick blanket of dust that will end up in your food as you sit at the table. About a dozen corners in the house have large cobwebs. The walls are scratched and beat up. Some of the bathroom locks don’t work, the master bedroom sink drain is cracked, some windows are missing blinds. I highly recommend a deep clean for this house. It desperately needs it. How can this be okay? Moving on to the grill, no surprise there, it was not cleaned and full of grease. We could not use it. The hot tub buttons are broken, the screen is not legible, the water is murky. I was embarrassed because I was the one that booked the stay. I don’t get how it’s fair for us to spend thousands on a once in 2 years trip to end up with a house that receives no upkeep. Folks the bare minimum, change the toilet paper, make the beds does not work. Please take some time and deep clean this house.

Just okay
It was just okay. I've stayed at a lot of houses in Caldera Springs Resort and this place isn't special. I won't be going back. When you stay in Caldera Springs you expect a certain luxury that you won't find at this house. For example, most of tv's in the bedrooms were desktop monitor size. The dryer made a very loud squeaking sound when in use so we had to make sure we were out of the house when we dried our cloths. The house is big but somewhat outdated. I think the mattresses haven't been changed since the house was built probably 20+ years ago. The master bedroom's bed slumps in towards the middle of the bed. And my son found long black hairs on his sheets so his bedding wasn't obviously washed. The cost per night should have been a lot lower for what was provided.

Family Thanksgiving
The house was beautiful and we really enjoyed the size for 8 adults. The home was in a quiet location with large windows to enjoy a view of the pond as sunrise. The kitchen was a little disappointing because it was lacking a few necessities like drinking glasses. There were only a few in the cupboard and we had to go to Bend and buy more. It was also missing a mixer and blender that were needed for Thanksgiving holiday.

Excellent location but many things broken and not maintained
The plus of this house is that it's very spacious with a nice layout and in a great location. The furnishings are nice except the beds are poor quality and not comfortable. Caldera Springs is beautiful and the lake and pool are great. Overall a beautiful development to stay in. What was disappointing was the cleanliness and maintenance of the house. We had a handful of issues including appliances not working and missing/broken window coverings. The kitchen layout is odd with only outlets on the island so anything that has to be plugged in such as the coffee maker or toaster has to be crammed on the island. The backyard needs attention. There is no landscaping and it's very dusty. There are two tables for a group but they don't match each other in size. It's just thrown together.

Nice home, but needs attention!
This is a beautiful property, but needs attention. When we arrived, we noted a number of issues that were due to lack of maintenance/upkeep. The doors in the bedrooms leading to the outside were missing blinds (something you don’t notice this time of year until you are getting ready to go to bed), BBQ was past it’s life expectancy, patio furniture was lacking, most of the bikes needed maintenance and could not be ridden, sound on the TV in the main room was of extremely poor quality, dishware was old and discussing.

A little let down with this Home
Beautiful Home but poorly managed. Extremely uncomfortable furniture, couches and chairs seem like they were from the bargain store and were difficult to sit on. The BBQ was disgusting, it was so bad we didn’t even want to cook on it. The hot tub was small and very old. Pretty bad when you rent a home this nice and they can’t even spring a few hundred bucks for a decent BBQ. Dish washer doesn’t clean the dishes which explains why the dishes in the cupboards were unfit to feed my family meals on. This was very disappointing as my wife and I chose a really nice home to accommodate our family to a Christmas Gift in the mountains and snow. I’ll chose a different company next time.

Sunriver family fun
Large home with lots of room for our large family gathering. Every family had their own bathroom and the kitchen was big enough to accommodate multiple people cooking at the same time. Mud room was excellent for keeping ski gear dry but not in the living space. Washer/dryer so appreciated for keeping hot tub towels clean and any emergencies. Rooms are pretty well insulated so other activity noise doesn’t disturb naps. Felt safe. Toilet paper, paper towels, and dish soap were all provided and a nice surprise. Felt clean and everything worked! Bikes and paths through out the area are lovely.

This house is amazing for families to share because of the location, layout, and amenities! The only downside is it needs a little TLC as the house has had a bit of wear and tear on it. IE garbage cabinet door fell of just trying to open it, some blinds don’t work....

Check in was easy and the property was lovely. The location was very convenient to the pool. The only thing I would suggest is to bring your own pillows because the pillows on all the beds were awful - flat and more pillows are needed on the beds. Otherwise lovely stay.

Great Location, Poor Service
We booked this house thinking it was in Sunriver Resort, not Sunriver the town (it's not very clear in the listing). Luckily, we loved this location even more than Sunriver Resort - better pool, tennis courts, playground -- simply perfect for our extended family getaway!! Unfortunately, the experience with Vacasa, the rental property company, was terrible. The first night I called to find out where the pool was (no map or explanation anywhere on the property). The next day, I called to inform them there were several things broken in the home before we arrived and discovered the local Vacasa phone number had been disconnected. I found another number in an old email and called. They said not to call the local number (but that's what all the literature in the house said to do). So confusing. When we decided to go to the pool, we didn't have enough passes to cover the 16 people in our group, which is how many the house sleeps. Luckily, there was a lovely young lady working the desk who let us in. The next day, I got an angry phone call from Vacasa saying that we were trying to access the pool with too many people. The woman questioned how many people we had in the house. She said it only slept 14 but I told her it clearly slept 16 because that's how many we had in the house. She looked it up and ... sure enough ... it was 16. I suppose that's why they didn't have enough passes for accessing the pool. I was so frustrated by the lack of services, confusion on their end and crazy accusations that I will NEVER use Vacasa for another vacation rental. It's unfortunate because the home and Caldera Springs really were fantastic.
