Bekannt geworden ist das Dorf durch die Filmstudios Bendestorf. Hier wurden einige Heimatfilme,sowie andere Filme und Fernsehserien gedreht.
Die Unterkunft befindet sich 34 km von Buxtehude,31 km von Hamburg und Lüneburg erreichen sie in 45 km. Der nächstgelegene Flughafen befindet sich in 41 km.
