Self Contained Country Cottage - semi rural property PET and child Friendly

Lovely rural property, complete with a working chook house - yes farm fresh eggs for breakfast. Self Contained Cottage has a fenced in area to keep pets safe. Sit on the large covered verandah and watch the wild life go by which includes Rabbits and many types of native birds, or step out side the fenced in area for a lovely tree swing. Only 12 minutes from Bendigo CBD, less to Bendigo pottery, or various short drives to wonderful haunts like Colbinabbin Silo Art, Echua, Heathcote, Bridgewater, Castlemaine, Maldon, Reasdale & Axedale.

Generous apportioned cabin, which can sleep up to 4, Separate Bedroom with Queen Bed, Separate Bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen and family room complete with a sofa bed, full cooking facilities, continental Brecky offered upon request. Condiments supplied include Coffee. Tea, sugar, oil for cooking, salt and pepper and limit Spices.

Walking distance from Huntly Hotel providing smoke house and traditional pub meals, Award winning George's Bakery, Take away Gourmet burgers El Gordo's, a friendly LGA supermarket, hairdresser and Laundromat.

Dog friendly Cottage
Secure fenced yard for my dog. A covered deck for me to sit and enjoy the wildlife. Kitchen and bathroom equiped with everything I needed and more. Hosts supplied milk, bread and farm fresh eggs as well as an other basics to get started. Conveniently located near an IGA, bakery and hotel. This was my perfect retreat from the city!

Perfect place to stay
Was extremely happy with our accommodation. Just perfect traveling with 2 dogs. Nice fenced area around the cottage for the dogs and access to a bigger area once the gates were closed. Everything we needed and extras was supplied, will certainly book again next year. Thanks for having us Meagan , Mitch and Murphy.

Great weekend away
I came with my wife and 2yo dog and we had the best time at this property. It was close enough to everything we wanted to do and see around Bendigo, and importantly had enough open and contained space for our anxious dog to have a great time. Only down side is we wish we got to play with their dog more! Thanks again for having us 😀

The cottage was above our expectations. It was clean, tidy and welcoming, along with little added extras such as bread, milk and spreads for toast. There was no skimping on things such as tissues and we had everything we needed.

Such a sweet place to stay! The fresh eggs, condiments, and neat and tidy kitchen were a pleasure to use. Our 9-month-old particularly loved seeing the chickens, rabbits, and roos that were about the place. Very cosy place. Would recommend. 👍👍

Nice & neat, welcoming hosts & friendly pooch. The cottage was quaint, bed super comfy (sofa bed not so much). The little extras in the fridge & pantry was super helpful. Our mini dog had a lovely stay as well.

It’s a dream
Staying at this property is a dream. It’s like being home, quality everything, little nicknaks everywhere . More than enough food for brekkie. And fresh eggs to die for from the chickens in the backyard. Heating turned on for our arrival.Perfect enclosure for our mini daschound.Chatting with Mitch and Meagan the Hosts. Just like talking to your neighbour. Really loved our stay. And will recommend it to anyone I know who will be staying in Bendigo.

A most enjoyable stay in a rural suburb of Bendigo. The hosts were outstanding in their assistance to make our stay so relaxing and enjoyable. The facilities available in the cottage were excellent and the little additional touches were very much appreciated. The cottage was heated before we arrived and our hosts were readily available on the end of the phone to address questions. Breakfast items were very convenient and homely facilities readily available. We’re had a very comfortable stay and thoroughly enjoyed the overall experiences. Well done!

Little slice of paradise
The photos of this beautiful little property on the outskirts of Bendigo simply not do it justice. We absolutely loved our stay at Huntly Country Cottage and are super thankful for Meagan, Mitch and Murphy giving us and our furbaby, Cookie, the opportunity to stay. Meagan has equipped the house in an aesthetically pleasing and super comfortable manner. We had everything we could wish for in a property and more. The eggs from the chickens were beyond delicious. Whilst this little cottage is nestled right among other houses, it felt like we were in the middle of nowhere and we loved listening to the birds and watching the bunny rabbits running around. Cookie absolutely loved exploring the property and we felt really safe when he was in the enclosed yard. It truly is a very pet friendly place and they have thought hard about how to protect pets and ensure pet owners can relax. The verandah / undercover area was fantastic and gave us a great place to sit in the morning sunshine and just enjoy the ambience. Do yourself a favour and book yourself a weekend away!
