"This is easily our favourite hotel in the world. The staff are incredibly nice and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and newly renovated. When they found out it was our 50th wedding anniversary, they upgraded us to a lovely room overlooking the river, with a balcony. Every dish we ate in the restaurants was delicious. A special nod to Anna who took such good care of us on the first evening! "

"Great stay. Reception staff very friendly and professional. Hotel was very clean and had a lovely smell when you entered through the doors. Very comfortable bed. Only downside and this is the same with all European hotels, only English speaking channels on the TV are the news. Hotel is very convenient for the train station and is only a short walk in to the old town. Would definitely recommend and would stay again if i return to Salzburg "

"We reached the hotel well before our check in time but were able to get our room early. The room was clean and very comfortable. Everything we had to see was walkable, including the train station, tourist attractions, restaurants, etc. I would recommend the hotel to any visitors to Salzburg."

"Review for Hotel Schwabenwirt We stayed at Hotel Schwabenwirt for two nights and had a great experience. One highlight was the early check-in—our room was ready when we arrived, which made things very convenient. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional, adding to the pleasant stay. Our room was very spacious, with a modern and well-lit bathroom. The bed was comfortable and spacious, and we slept very well both nights. The windows provided excellent sound insulation, so despite the hotel’s strategic location right across from the Berchtesgaden train and bus station, we had no issues with noise at all. The hotel is located right in front of the Berchtesgadener Ache, a beautiful river with crystal-clear waters, adding to the charm of the surroundings. The location is not only strategic for transportation but also very convenient, with two supermarkets (Rewe and Lidl) and a DM drugstore right next door. This made it easy to grab anything we needed during our stay. The breakfast was very good, with a nice variety of options to start the day. Overall, I wouldn’t think twice about returning to Hotel Schwabenwirt when visiting Berchtesgaden. Its convenient location, beautiful surroundings, and friendly staff make it a great choice. Highly recommended!"
