Had to wait 2 hours to check in as I booked a family room and they said they don’t have family rooms. When we finally checked in and went to the room the single bed was pretty much a matresss on the floor, my duvet had a dry bright red blood stain. I called reception to raise the issue and for someone to change it, the response was that I should come down and change it myself. I explained I will not be doing that after waiting so long to check in to then get this dirty disgusting room, the receptionist then hung up on me. Took 20 mins to come and came with a bedsheet rather than a duvet.

The Hotel is in an excellent location for public transport connections, and surprisingly quiet at night despite being in an area above shops / restaurants / takeaways. Air conditioning in the room was very welcome in the hot weather, and I also liked that they offer the option to not have the room serviced daily. Staff were professional and helpful. On the negatives, I thought the desk in the room was too small (half the depth of what you normally find in a hotel) and the bathroom also lacked any shelving to put things. There was nowhere to put the hand towel next to the sink, other than to hang on a small hook on the door, which it kept falling off. I also thought the breakfast was too expensive for what was available.

On entering the hotel the decor is bright and welcoming and the reception staff are welcoming and polite. Our room was south facing and quiet, the room was comfortable and our room was cleaned every day [ whether it was needed], the standards were high. Came to Leonardo for a relaxing break and this made it possible throughout my stay.
