Very well priced and located within a couple of minutes walk of Potsdamerplatz and the Berlin Mall shopping centre. Nearest medium price hotel for the Berlin Philharmonie too. 5-10 minutes walk to Brandenburg Gate, Unter den Linden, river and the Reichstag.

Super modern looking hotel with the typical Motel One blue theme. Kind of MCM design, but more modern. Super close to the Brandenburger. Gate and the Jewish Memorial. The U ubahn is a block away. Nice place.

Great hotel!
Best night sleep! Great mattress and pillows. The bed was a double bed and not two single beds put together which made it even better. The room and bathroom were both very clean. Room temperature was perfect. Very quiet. The only downside was that there isn’t a safe in the room. The hotel location is perfect, 3 minute walk to the underground U and S and it is only around 14 minute walk from the Brandenburg Gate.

Our trip to Germany was planned just by dates. The rest was scheduled by my three day Symposium for work and the rest was day by day. We explored a great deal of Germany and ended our trip in Berlin. The booking process was easy and the room was as advertised. Location was downtown and easy to trains and walkable to most sites. There was a large shopping mall next door which offered a fun walk around and lots of restaurants. The staff was nice and professional. The rooms were clean and the view of the plaza below with outdoor seating and a playground was nice. Realized it’s in the third floor of the building over the shopping mall. Definitely worth the visit.

New Years Eve solo trip
Nice hotel in a great location to public transportation and the hop on hop off bus. Breakfast was not robust but had deli meats and breads, fruit and granola. Vegan spreads and alternative milks available. Staff are nice. Stayed on 3rd floor where dining is located but no bother with noise since I was down the hall. Water gets hot and shower pressure is great. Comfortable stay right by the mall (though closed NYE weekend!)

A small room, without a closet, without a safe and refrigerator, carpets from wall to wall - not recommended for those allergic to dust. Location right inside the Berlin Mall. The trip to the airport involves changing trains at least once.

Room or closet?
Standard rooms are extremely small, more like a closet than a room. Very little room for clothes and no place to leave your bags. It could be ok for one night stay, no for a longer trip.

Disappointed with the German version of MotelOne
First the good things. Very good location with excellent transport links and a very good selection of restaurants within a few minutes walk. The bed was comfortable and bathroom easy to use. However, the room layout was terrible. There were no space beside the bed to put anything, no safe and no in-room refreshments. We've stayed in Motel-One in the UK and been very happy. The German version was a disappointment both here and in Leipzig. We would not choose German Motel-One again (although very happy with the UK version)

It is close to the train station and the rooms are stylishly decorated. However, I would like them to consider what people need to rest. I would have liked to have seen an electric kettle rather than a book on design concepts. A guide to the neighborhood and a description of the facilities in the hotel would also be useful. The number of people at the reception desk was small for the size of the hotel, and there was a queue. I would have booked "breakfast included" but had to pay extra for breakfast. I was not convinced, but I paid it because I didn't want to waste time arguing about it. Also, I really wanted to rent a bicycle, but there was a line at the reception and I gave up asking.

Basic but best placed!
I have chosen to stay at this hotel knowing that motel one is a basic style brand hotel. I was expecting by experience from a previous stay in Brussels that motel one rooms do not offer mini refrigerator or other mini amenities and that are generally small ones. The main reasons for my choice were the affordable price and the location! And I was right!! It is situated in Potsdammer platz maybe the second most beautiful modern area in Berlin after Unter der Linden! It is part of a fabulous mall where practically you can find everything you wish: many many shops, 2 supermarkets and many restaurants and cafes! plus U&S bahn lines to wherever you want to go! As for the room I was lucky to have been given one of the last ones for persons with decreased mobility (because the normal ones where fully booked) so it was really huge and comfortable! The only thing that I have to mention is that probably they don't clean everyday the rooms so both times that they did it it's because I asked them to do so! Generally the hotel is a typical Motel one with nice lobby and bar area and very polite staff thus I would definitely stay again!
