Bold and bright colours will welcome you upon entering this lovely
home. Situated a stone’s throw away from the ocean, the beach sand
glitters in silver colour, providing a picture-perfect backdrop visible
from almost every corner of the house. A step out of the front door and
a short walk across the front garden takes you to coastal rock pools
and further onto the beautiful swimming beach of Silversands.
There is no better place to enjoy a self-catering stay in great luxury.
The interior is designed to complement the natural surroundings, with
each space individually designed to perfection with colour, space and
modern finishes. The house has an inverter, and backup battery, for its
two levels with five bedrooms, providing ample space for family or
friends to enjoy. The lounge and kitchen on the top floor open into a
stylish open-plan space leading to a neat and refreshing balcony with
stunning sea views. Upstairs, the main bedroom is open plan with an
en-suite bathroom straight out of a luxury home magazine. A further two
bedrooms upstairs are artfully laid out to give a sense of tranquillity
and connection to nature through an abundance of light and sea or
mountain views. The two downstairs bedrooms are also beautifully
furnished and open into an open plan living area and balcony with sea
views and an indigenous fynbos garden.
Situated in the seaside town of Betty’s Bay, the surroundings offer an
abundance of attractions for nature lovers. The natural beauty of these
surroundings can be seen from the 90-meter high Sandstone peak of the
Kogelberg. Visitors can enjoy the magnificent nature trails and various
hiking trails up into the mountain such as the Leopards Kloof trail
which allows for walks and climbing wooden ladders. The Disa River
trail, named after the flowering Disa orchids, is an easy walk and is
wheelchair and pram friendly. The trail takes you over the Olive May
Porter Bridge where you can enter a wooded area and spot various bird
species. The trail then leads you to the picture-perfect Disa River
Waterfall where the crystal clear waterfall turns to a black mass of
water in a 16-meter deep pool.
When visiting the coastal side of this quaint town make sure to stop at
the Stony Point Nature Reserve, home to one of the largest breeding
unique colony of African Penguins in the world. Here, from the safety
of the boardwalk, you can enjoy watching these flightless seabirds in
their natural habitat going about their daily activities. This is a
holiday filled with learning, adventure and nature.
