Ancient and romantic country house with stunning views over the hills. Completely restored it has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms one each floor, first floor 2 double bedrooms with air conditioning finely furnished in shabby chic style, a small and a larger with view and possibility third bed.
On the ground floor single room, dining room and a small kitchen.
East side has a distinctive secret garden on the ancient walls of the country, full of flowers and aromatic plants and citrus trees where you can relax and eat outside.
The garden is on different levels, there is an outdoor lounge and table and barbecue.

The ground floor is cool thanks to the thick walls. Free Wi fi throughout the house. Satellite TV.
We are located in the characteristic medieval village of Bibbona, in the upper part. A few steps from the apartment characteristic restaurants and pizzerias.

Only 7 km from the beaches and pine forests of Marina di Bibbona, 5 km from Bolgheri and its wines. Near the most beautiful villages in Italy.
PARKING: About 3 minutes walk from the car parks (all free) uphill/downhill. It is possible to get close to the house by car only for loading and unloading but the roads are very narrow.
IMPORTANT: Not suitable for people with walking difficulties.

Authentic peaceful Italian village

Bibbona is such a peaceful, charming village with the best food and people! And Marco’s place was perfect, especially his beautiful garden! Would stay here again!

Restful getaway

What a dreamy little place nestled in a fortress on a hill! The village is a labyrinth of beautiful historical cobblestone walkways amidst the homes built on a hill. Our stay in this little casa was just what our hearts needed to refresh us from our busy lives. Marco is an incredibly hospitable host. From start to finish he was willing to help us make our time in Bibbona truly memorable in the best way. We visited Bibbona in the off season for tourism but that did not stop us from falling in love with the little town. We spent hours reading in the little garden terrace. Truly a little oasis.

Small, nice flat with idyllic garden

We were three adults, each had one bedroom, the small kitchen had everything we needed for cooking every other day, a couple of very good restaurants nearby, a perfect cozy garden, the countryside intresting, the beach only few minutes, the host friendly and helpful so for us it was 5 stars ( with 5 guests I believe it would be a bit crowded).

A lovely house

This is a house set in a small village. It does have lots of steps to reach the quaint gardens. A small kitchen and living area. Bedrooms. The host is willing to help and responds to messages.

LOVELY HOME & GARDEN IN BIBBONA

We enjoyed an awesome stay in this charming house and picturesque garden! It represents the true flavor of Tuscany, away from crowds and noise, in a little piece of heaven...Although we also visited Florence and Cinque Terre, this little gem stayed the most in our hearts! Marco was an excellent host and everything we needed was provided. We are already looking forward to our next stay. 5+ STARS.

Beautiful and charming place from which to explore Tuscany

We enjoyed our stay at Marco's family home. The bonus is the beautiful terraced garden with several seating areas. As the house isn't that big, the gardens provided great additional space for gathering to eat and hang out. The house is right in town so it's easy to walk to the market or one of the several great restaurants. Marco the host was available to direct us to sites and to provide info on where to go for shopping and wine tasting. Even though you cannot drive right to the house (as you cannot in many of these old towns) there is ample parking nearby within a five-minute walk. Bibbona itself is a charming town and its nearby beaches are great. We hope to return someday!

Loved this experience

This is an excellent property better than advertised.If you are interested in slowing life down and experiencing Tuscan life up close this is our choice. Bibbona is a very small village and the house located at the top of the village has a wonderful view, a deck overlooking an accessible small garden and 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms . Perfect for our family of 4 travelling with adult children.Close to beaches and the Bogheri wine road there is lots to see and do within 30 minutes driving maximum. Marco is an exceptional host who quickly responses to all our questions and shared his very helpful local knowledge. He even met us to drive us up the steep streets from the free parking lot in the square saving us pulling our luggage . Also there are excellent restaurants all in walking distance including one for baked goods and fresh fruit salad just around the corner with view you will never tire of looking at.

Toskana-Urlaub

Wir haben den Eigentümer (Marco) auf einem Parkplatz im Ort getroffen. Trotz unser schlechten Englischkenntnisse haben wir uns relativ gut mit Marco verständigen können. Die Gegebenheiten lassen es nicht zu das man sein Fahrzeug in der Nähe der Wohnung parken kann. Es gibt aber einen Parkplatz am Ende der Via di Bacco, dieser ist auch abends beleuchtet. Ansonsten gibt es mehrere schöne Restaurants im Ort unterschiedlicher Preisklassen. Die Supermärkte findet ihr in Cecina bzw. in Marina de Cecina gibt eine sehr schöne Strandpromenade, die abends mit ihren zahlreichen Restaurants ein Besuch wert ist. Man kann von Bibbona aus wunderbar die nördliche bis zentralgelegene Toskana erkunden. Es gibt auch in der Nähe schöne Strände zum Baden die kann euch Marco zeigen bzw. hat er noch weitere Tipps für euch. Zum Zeitpunkt unserem Aufenthalt hatten wir immer zwischen 30°C - 34°C gehabt.

Pobyt w zabytkowym sercu historycznej czesc Bibbony w mieszkaniu Marco to fajne doswiadczenie. Z uwagi na lokalizacje auto trzeba zostawic na 3min drogi odleglym parkingu, a poniewaz jest " pod gorke" gospodarz podwiozl nas pod mieszkanie i pomogl z bagazami. Mieszkanie czyste, przygotowane z troska o najmniejszy detal i nie masz wrazenia, ze jest to typowy apartament turystyczny, tylko dom, ktory Cie ugosci. Sypialnie duze i wygodne, romantyczny wystroj, slodki tarasowy ogrodek, salon z duzym stolem. Blisko piekarnia, restauracje itp Mieszkajac w domu rodem ze sredniowiecza nie mozna oczekiwac duzej kuchni i lazienki Te u Marco, mimo, ze niewielkie calkowicie nas zadowolily. Wlasciciel chetnie podpowiadal co mozemy ciekawego zobaczyc w okolicy i widac bylo, ze mu zalezy na tym, aby nasze wakacje byly udane. Dziekujemy i tak trzymaj!

Wunderschöner Ort

Wir waren knapp eine Woche in der Unterkunft von Marco — ein herrlicher Ort, um die Toskana zu erkunden! Zum Meer sind es nur circa 10 Minuten mit dem Auto… Eine wunderschöne, versteckte Bucht ist nur etwa 40 Minuten entfernt. Sienna, Volterra, Pisa und viele tolle Restaurants und Fattori sind super erreichbar. Das W-LAN war ausgezeichnet, auch für Streaming und Video-Konferenzen — sogar am Frühstückstisch auf der Terasse. Der Garten ist ein wunderschöner Ort um zu entspannen, zu frühstücken oder zu meditieren. Es ist sehr privat, ruhig und angenehm. Kostenfreie Parkplätze sind in der Nähe ausreichend vorhanden.

Great stay in an ideal location

We had a wonderful week here in April 2024. The property was ideal for our family of four, and clean and spacious throughout. The outdoor area is the highlight, with several lovely sitting spots in a well-tended sloping garden. Great location in the town of Bibbona, and close to restaurants, bars, bakery, gelateria and deli. It was an ideal base for exploring Tuscany - near several good beaches and within day-trip range of Florence, Lucca, Siena and so many beautiful hill-top villages. Marco was a great host who shared lots of excellent recommendations for places to visit, eat etc. We hope to be back... highly recommended!

Magnifique séjour au coeur de la Toscane

Très bon accueil, notre hôte nous a donné de très bons conseils pour les visites et la gastronomie locale. Nous avons passé un séjour sportif et gourmand entourés de sympathiques habitants de Bibbona. Le logement est exceptionnel et authentique avec un jardin magnifique.

Parfait et enrichissant

Wunderbares Häuschen

Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt in dem charmanten Haus mitten in der Altstadt von Bibbona. Die Küche ist etwas klein, aber praktikabel. Es war leider zu der Zeit sehr heiß in der Toskana, so dass wir den wunderschönen Garten leider nicht so nutzen konnten, wie wir wollten. Die Klimaanlagen der beiden oberen Zimmer haben uns bei den Temperaturen gerettet und der Tipp damit auch den unteren Raum abzukühlen war prima.

Schön, aber zu heiß

Wir waren 1 Woche im Juli und es war extrem heiß - auch in der Wohnung. 2 Schlafzimmer haben Klimaanlage. Ansonsten war es in Küche und Dunkelbad unerträglich heiß. Da haben die dicken Mauern und geschlossene Fensterläden garnichts genützt. Den wirklich wunderschönen Garten konnte man nur Nachts genießen. Die Sonne brannte hier von morgens bis nachmittags runter. Die Handtücher waren schnell trocken. Fliegengitter an wirklich jedem Fenster sind hervorragend. Die Lage ist traumhaft. Auch die verschiedenen Lokale im Ort sind schön. Mit dem Auto ist man schnell am Strand.

Sauber, ordentlich und sehr originell gelegen

Das Haus war wirklich sauber und total genial gelegen, mitten in der urigen Altstadt von Bibbona. Wunderbarer Ausblick und der Gastgeber Marco ist wirklich total nett. Er hat uns gute Tipps gegeben, was man in der Umgebung so unternehmen kann und war auch sonst für unsere Fragen da. Vielen Dank, wir waren rundum zufrieden.

Wunderschöner Toskanafamilienurlaub

Wir (2 Erwachsene mit 3 Kindern) hatten einen tollen Toskanaurlaub. Das Haus, mitten im alten Ortskern von Bibbona, ist wirklich ein Kleinod. Die Küche ist zwar etwas klein und könnte besser ausgestattet sein (Messer, Kochlöffel..) doch die Zimmer, das Bad, das WC mit Dusche und vor allem der traumhafte kleine Garten sind absolut in Ordnung. Marco ist ein sehr netter und umsichtiger Gastgeber und stets bemüht, dass alles paßt. Die Fliegennetze an allen Fenstern und der Terassentür sind sehr nützlich gewesen. Im Ort gibt es alles was man benötigt und der Strand, Radfahrmöglichkeiten und Ausflüge zu den Highlights der Toskana sind sehr gut von dort aus zu machen.
