Admire the fascinating motorbikes, learn some motoring history or browse the shop of this Tasmanian tribute to all things motorcycling.

Bicheno Motorcycle Museum & Restoration is a private museum, workshop and bike shop with a strong focus on vintage bikes. It is a must for those who appreciate motorcycles. See the vintage models in mint condition in the large showroom, the used bikes under repair in the workshop and glistening bikes and spare parts for sale in the shop.

Enter the museum to browse the wide range of vintage motorbikes on display in the shed-like building that was turned into a showroom by the museum owner Andrew Quin. Quin got his first bike at the age of 4 and his passion grew from there. Throughout the years, his private collection has grown to include over 60 rare and unusual bikes. You may encounter Quin in or around the museum complex.

While browsing, learn about the history of motorcycles over the years. The shining chrome models from the 1920s through to the 1950s are clearly Quin’s favorite however, rare models of modern-day bikes are also on display. His collection covers bikes from many parts of the world, including Europe, Asia and the USA.

Go to the window that allows you to look into the restoration area. The recent and vintage models in this workshop are either being fixed up for local customers or to be added to the collection. Many of the bikes in the museum have been immaculately restored there by Andrew Quin himself.

After exploring the museum, browse the motorbike shop at the front. It is an irresistible place for all motorcyclists and those needing spare parts for their specialist bikes. While you may not be able to buy yourself a motorbike while in Tasmania, it can’t hurt to have a look and daydream about epic road trips on the island.

Bicheno Motorcycle Museum & Restoration is open daily. It is located in the quiet coastal town of Bicheno, a popular tourist destination with picturesque scenery and dramatic coastline, where colonies of fairy penguins waddle to shore each night.

The museum is within easy walking distance of the town center and free parking is available for cars and of course motorbikes. Entry fees apply to the museum only.
