Place is nice and cozy. Check in and check out is a little confusing as you most likely will have to call the property when you arrive and possibly when you leave to get the key and to turn in the key. Property has a nice feel about it and is quiet and the cabin is nice. Room was clean for the most part though you can tell it has seen better days. Overall it was a nice place to sleep at night and for the price you cant complain too much.

we had such a nice stay at eagles nest! it was so cozy and quiet and the two staff/ owners were so sweet even with the language barrier. the selectiom of movies in the downstairs livinh quarters was such a nice addition! we will pick this next time we stay in big bear :)

This place was a great find. Hidden away in plain sight, it is right off big bear blvd. The riom we got was a little small and the windows faced the street but it was perfectly comfortable for just 2 people. The lady that works there was very helpful and kind.

Although the operators didn't speak English at all they used tools to communicate and they were very sweet. It is a bit out dated but was just what I wanted a non modern cabin feel. The jet tubs were the best! Very peaceful. Would visit again!

Nice, quiet, cozy, kind of outdated, but peaceful. Shower/restroom area was a little musty, and shower curtains probably could have used replacing. But overall, no major complaints. Parking was close to the room. Check in staff was a sweet older Asian couple who were very friendly and helpful, but they did not speak any English and used a translator device to communicate. However, they were very accommodating to requests which made the stay more pleasant.

Worst place I’ve ever checked into. Cluttered, dirty, musty. Owners are sweet, but they don’t speak English and don’t have a clue as to how to run a B&B. Pics on Hotels.com are deceiving. Room was musty, cluttered and dirty. I couldn’t picture actually sleeping there. My wife and I opted to drive home 2 1/2 hours rather than stay here. Avoid at all costs!

This place needs serious remodeling. The carpet was gross and the bathtub had mold on the linoleum. Bed was lumpy and old mattress, the heating system is a fireplace and the shower drain didn’t drain well. Plus the couple next to me in the other room were having loud sex and I heard ALL OF IT. 10/10 don’t recommend.

Room was extremely dirty. Bed sheets weren’t changed, jacuzzi in the room was full of mold. The owners who checked us in does not speak English and their online translator would not translate properly so we could not understand what they were saying. Big language barrier and hard to communicate with, the “check” in included just the owner showing you a list of names that reserved and you pointing out your name. They did not check id or anything. Needless to say we left the hotel immediately and booked somewhere else. Also it was terribly hot in the room and all the windows were opened, overall just a weird vibe.

Please be careful if you book here. I showed up for my reservation and they gave my room to another customer, leaving my daughter and I stranded at 9:30 pm in the cold. They offered a sub standard room at the local hostel as a replacement. As of now, there has not been a refund given by either Expedia or the property. Reserve at your own risk. I will NEVER use Expedia to book another room nor will I stay at the Eagle's Nest Lodge.
