There were hiccups with key not being in lockbox, car having no gas for 1st day of vacation and then totally broke down when we had to transport family & belongings to Ferry but homeowner was quick to respond to everything and locals provided transport. Also property manager changed hands and we were not aware of this. Stressful start and finale but inbetween was great! This stuff happens!"

"Wow! Whalesback Cottage was the Nova Scotia oceanside escape that we were looking for. Our own private space – no traffic … no crowds … and the only sounds were the waves hitting the rocks. "If you are looking for a secluded spot, this is the place. We enjoyed going for walks and kayaking around the island. The kitchen is spacious so we did a fair bit of cooking, although it’s a short drive into town to go out to dinner if that’s what you prefer. The only drawback is that the downstairs bedroom was a bit loud because of pumps turning on and off at night, but if you’re a sound sleeper that shouldn’t be a problem. "

We brought along all we needed for Thanksgiving Dinner and the kitchen was so well equipped that we actually could have roasted our turkey there but we had that done at home.
