Family trip to Binz
Great location in Binz with short walks to everything you need, esp. the beach right outside of the hotel. The breakfast and bbq buffet was outstanding. The rooms are a bit dated by now. Very small toiletries, esp. for stays for more than 1 day.

the Hotel is located in a great spot. The location is quiet and easy to access. Unfortunately, the Hotel does not comply with international rating/Star system. It shows 5 Stars, but the 5 Stars relate to the German DEHOGA system and not to the International Star rating system. Rooms have no air condition; bathrooms are poorly equipped with only very basic and cheap toiletry products. The shower system was of low quality including the shower curtain. The matrass in our room were old and spent and produced back pain. The door handles, flooring, etc. showed wear and tear. Many of the working staff are foreigners with very limited German language skills (Asian and East European). The restaurant menu is very limited and not up to the proclaimed Hotel evaluation stars. This Hotel needs urgently a full restauration and improvement what the general standard is concerned.

Die Zimmer zur Landseite waren ruhig und gut. Einige Kommunikations- und Aufmerksamkeitsfehler, die zwar alle -tw. zeitversetzt - behoben wurden, aber für ein Hotel dieser Kategorie ungewöhnlich (falsche Bettwäsche, Zusammenreisende zunächst nicht nah nebeneinander untergebracht, individuelles Poblem im Spa-Bereich, vorher abgefragte Daten mussten nochmal angegeben werden). Frühstück war o.k., vielfältiges Angebot. Personal freundlich. Preis angemessen.

Das Hotel hat unsere Erwartungen nicht erfüllt. Das Zimmer war renovierungsbedürftig. Die Möbel abgewohnt. Das Frühstücksangebot war einseitig. Es gab jeden Tag die gleiche Wurst sowie Käse. Der Wellnessbereich war abgenutzt und die Sauberkeit nicht gut. Man war bemüht, aber das reicht in einem 5 Sterne plus Hotel leider nicht aus. Wir waren insgesamt sehr enttäuscht, da wir es anders gewohnt sind.

Das Hotel punktet mit seinem sehr freundlichen und serviceorientierten Personl. Das Frühstück ist ausgezeichnet. Die Betten sehr gut. Nur die Zimmer an sich,sind die Jahre gekommen. Besonders Teppich und Sofa. Aber wie ich mitbekommen habe, wird das bei den Böden nach und nach erneuert.

Forlænget weekend på et fantastisk hotel
Forlænget weekend på Rügen med udgangspunkt i Binz. Et fantastisk og dejligt hotel, hvor det skal tilføjes at vi havde et super værelse med balkon og havudsigt, noget man bør tilvælge, da det er en stor del at oplevelsen. Generelt super god betjening og service, samt et godt udvalg af faciliteter.

Früher ein sehr schönes Hotel gewesen, deshalb sind wir nach 8 jahren wiedergekommen. Die Zimmer sind nicht mehr zeigemäß und hier sind keinesfalls 5 sterne angebracht. In ein 5 sterne hotel gehört kein duschvorhang. Wir wurden ohne vorher nach einer evtl Allergie zu fragen, in Haus 4 untergebracht. Hier sind Hunde erlaubt. Ich habe eine Tierhaarallergie, welche sich sofort bemerkbar gemacht hat. Was das Schlimmste war: wir hatten Flöhe im Bett. Wurden zwar umquartiert aber das Wochenende war gelaufen. Essen ist aber sehr gut gewesen.

Positiv hervorzuheben ist der Barbereich: Der Kaffee war ausgezeichnet, und das Personal dort stets freundlich, zuvorkommend und kompetent. Auch das Eiweiß-Omelette hat mir sehr gut geschmeckt und war definitiv ein Highlight meines Aufenthalts. Leider gab es aber auch einige deutliche Schwächen. Die Matratzen waren durchgelegen und boten kaum Schlafkomfort. Das Housekeeping beschränkte sich darauf, lediglich die Bettdecken zu ordnen, während andere Bereiche des Zimmers vernachlässigt wurden. Geschirr blieb unberührt, und auch nach einer Beschwerde bei der Rezeption wurden die Badetücher nicht gewechselt. Ein weiteres Ärgernis war der extrem langsame Fahrstuhl. Man hat das Gefühl, man könnte in der Zeit den Burj Khalifa in Dubai hinauffahren, während man hier nur ein paar Stockwerke überwinden möchte. Das sorgt für unnötige Wartezeiten und Frustration. Insgesamt hatte ich mir mehr von diesem Hotel versprochen, vor allem was Sauberkeit, Zimmerpflege und die Ausstattung betrifft. Dank des freundlichen Barpersonals und der Qualität im Gastronomiebereich wurde mein Aufenthalt jedoch kulinarisch aufgewertet.

Efterårsferie i Binz
Fik en upgrade på værelset ved ankomst. Skønt værelse med udsigt over havet. Dejlig rummeligt værelse, god seng. Kaffe/the på værelset. Fri adgang til spa/pool. Morgenmadbuffet ok. Ikke til fem stjerner efter vores smag. Hotellet ligger i gåafstand til strandpromenaden, strand og hovedgaden i feriebyen. Venligt og serviceminded personale alle steder. Parkering i kælder mod gebyr - men gratis lademulighed til vores el- bil. Byen Binz byder på smukke badehoteller, fine butikker og gode spisesteder. Vi kommer gerne igen til Binz og til dette fine hotel.

Der Begriff "Grand" im Namen des Hotels ist hier eher mit "groß" statt mit "großartig" zu übersetzen. Es handelt sich um ein (im Vergleich zu anderen Gebäuden an der Strandpromenade) relativ großes Hotel, bestehend aus vier miteinander verbundenen viergeschossigen Häusern. Der Begriff "großartig" will einem in keiner Ecke des Hotels in den Sinn kommen, auch nicht beim Betreten der eher durchschnittlich anmutenden Lobby. Gebucht hatten wir ein Zimmer "Baltic Deluxe Balkon Seeseite". Im Zusammenhang mit dem angezeigten Foto und dem Werbespruch "... 5-Sterne-Hotel in Binz direkt am Strand ..." hatten wir (wenigstens ein bisschen) Meerblick erwartet. Stattdessen blickten wir auf die Fassade des Hauses auf der gegenüberliegenden Straßenseite. Was "Baltic Deluxe" bedeuten soll, blieb uns ein Rätsel. Das Hotel ist offensichtlich sehr hundefreundlich. Am Eingang steht für den vierbeinigen Gast ein Hundestrandkorb mit Wassernapf bereit. Das Zimmer war geräumig und hell, aber stark abgenutzt. Die Schränke rochen muffig, Teppichboden und Polstermöbel wiesen unschöne Flecken auf. Es roch ein wenig nach Hund. Hier wollte man weder barfuß laufen noch gemütlich sitzen. Eine Wohlfühloase sieht anders aus. Im Bad gab es eine (unbeleuchtete) Duschnische mit Handbrause und Duschvorhang. Auch das eher dritt- als erstklassig.

Dejligt ophold
Vi havde et 3 dages ophold. Vi startede med et meget venligt og imødekommende personale, hvor starten var et glas boblevin. Hele vejen igennem var personalet meget venlige. Dejligt spabad. Parkeringsmulig i top. Vi kunne endda lade vores bil gratis. Vi kommer gerne igen, da opholdet var en stor fornøjelse

Tolle Lage, aber für den Preis zu teuer, da das Haus gerne ein Upgrade vertragen könnte. Bei unserem Besuch war z.B. der Fahrstuhl defekt, so dass wir bis zur 4. Etage laufen mußten. Als Entschädigung dafür wurde uns aber die tägliche Parkgebühr erstattet.
