Not quite silence - there are sheep a couple of fields away and the hum of insects gorging on the flowers. Walks through the fields and woods in the area from the front door. "The gite was wonderful, everthing possible was there for the guests use….torch, matches, cleaning products, extra toilet rolls etc. We were welcomed with the most amazing pack of food products including beer & wine. The bed is super comfortable with additional blankets if needed, the large shower is great as well. The area/local towns were a little too quiet for us but we made the most of it….and it is out of season. "

The pool area was lovely - very clean and peaceful. The bathroom is relatively basic with only one (separate) toilet. Lovely comfortable beds and beautiful surrounding countryside. "We all loved our time at Nicholas’ house. There is so much to do at the house and it is surrounded by a wall which makes it very easy to be with young families. We picked the vegetables and fruit, fed the chickens and absolutely loved spending time in the river. The pool is beautiful and the house is homely and elegant with everything you need for a happy and easy stay. Nicholas was extremely communicative and kind. We would love to come back again as a group or with others - thank you so much."

"Idyllic setting in a tiny village surrounded by farmland. Plenty of walks with very little traffic to worry about. Small town nearby with a couple of restaurants and a supermarket. Historic town of Cognac under an hour away with plenty of shops and bars. The property itself is superb. Very well kitted out with everything that you could possibly need. It’s hard to imagine a more perfect place for a bit of quiet time and a place to relax. Heated pool and a games room with snooker table...

"This property should not be on vrbo site or advertised hosts were very pleasant on the phone as we were arriving late evening , very hard to find the property no number on the gate description is totally wrong near park and shops it was more like on an industrial site , eventually got into the property and was very very disappointed cleanliness was awful there was no lounge to sit and relax just two bedrooms , the bedding was appalling and was certainly not up to standard then to top it all...
