The staff was friendly at check in. However we did not notice untilnlate that night that in one of the rooms we booked the restroom looked dirty on the side and the wall as if there was vomit that wasnt cleaned up.

The room and hotel as a whole was okay I guess other than the weird smell in the bathroom. The issue we had was with the staff at every level. Beginning with the Check In representative. He was not clear and could barely hear him when speaking. I had to ask him to repeat himself and he seemed annoyed and was not helpful at all. Then the security guard at the front entrance was rude to my wife not once but twice. The customer service lady at the rewards desk was rude and couldn’t speak or something bc she wouldn’t explain what she needed and just pointed. Very weird. The buffet was average at best and definitely not worth the $75 . It’s not like it used to be. The soda machines were out of ice and not taken care of. Bar 8042 in the middle of the casino was really good and the best part was DJ Spexx. He had us all dancing and having a great time. Music was on point. In the end, we will not be staying at Ameristar going forward. It used to be the place to be but they have really let things go. Find place to party but stay somewhere else.

Ameristar came highly recommended but i will not be returning to stay. I left my stay there covered in head to toe hives due to whatever they wash sheets with. Front desk staff to check in was rude and rolled his eyes multiple times walking in. The food was mediocre at best we paid almost $300 for the buffet for 5 of us and the prime rib was cold, that crab was awful and they had absolutely no dinner rolls. The fire side cafe was alright but not a heck of a lot better. I wish I would’ve picked somewhere else to stay all around. Very disappointed.
