Welcome to the Woodland Doe Lodge on beautiful Lee Lake. This lakeside natural log cabin is exactly what you need! With your private shoreline, the cabin feels very remote, yet is close to the interstate. ATV / snowmobile trails nearby - and access to tons of hiking and biking. We are originally from West-central Wisconsin, but currently live in Illinois and the Woodland Doe Lodge is our getaway cabin. The thought of this amazing retreat sitting empty is what inspired us to list it on AirBnb. We're friendly, easy going, and easy to reach (via phone, text, or message). We're happy to help as much as we can remotely, but we likely won't have the opportunity to meet in person.
Besides all the activities at/in the cabin, Lee Lake has a "public access" private groomed beach just a 1 minute walk away. A boat launch is also available for your own watercraft, just a mile down the road. Millston has immediate access to state ATV / snowmobile trails, some small parks, and one convenience store/gas station- with an off-leash dog park! Most other "activities" are outside Millston into nearby Black River Falls/Tomah or beyond. These include:
-Black River Falls State Forest (Black River Falls, 5 mi North),
-Sand Creek Brewing Company (Black River Falls, 14 mi North),
-Ho-Chunk Gaming Casino (Black River Falls, 16 mi North),
-Wazee Lake Recreation Area (Black River Falls, 18 mi North),
-Castle Mound Pine Forest (Black River Falls, 12 mi North),
-Bell Mound Scenic Overlook (Black River Falls, 7 mi North),
-Mill Bluff State Park (Camp Douglas, 27 mi South),
-Wisconsin Dells various water and theme parks (Wisconsin Dells, 60 mi South)
Guests can access the entire property except for areas which are locked, containing our personal property (e.g., basement, garage, select cabinets)
Welcome to beautiful Lee Lake, with its serene lake views and our adorable rustic cabin! This cozy two bedroom, one bath traditional log cabin amid the Black River Falls, WI state forest is exactly what you need to rest, rejuvenate, and be at one with nature. Enjoy your morning coffee on the front porch among the pines, or watch the sunset grilling on the back deck.
(*NOTE: The dock and watercrafts are removed during the winter season due to lake ice and snow. Approximately October- April, but varying seasonally.)
With features such as natural wood, rustic and elemental finishes, and industrial style decor, this cabin is the perfect place for a couple or small family to spend a weekend or longer. It feels very remote, yet is close to the interstate and ATV / snowmobile trails, with access to hiking, biking and fishing. We have a stage 2 EV charter/240 RV hookup available as well!
The property features a private shoreline and a 20-foot dock on the small, peaceful, "no-wake" Lake Lee. You’re welcome to bring your swimsuits and enjoy the public access white sand “groomed” beach just a two-minute walk down the road, or stay within the privacy of your own lakeside retreat. (*NOTE: The dock and watercrafts are removed during the winter season due to lake ice and snow. Approximately November - March, but varying seasonally.)
Our paddleboat, two kayaks, 17' canoe with oars, hammocks (2), beach towels and fishing poles are all provided for our guests, as well as a backyard fire pit for s’mores and telling late night ghost stories.
The home has a fully appointed kitchen, complete with armoire refrigerator, dishwasher, oven / stove, coffee cart, and all the necessities. There’s plenty of space in the great room to spread out, and the main floor features the master bedroom with a queen size bed and bath with standing shower. The open loft upstairs has a toddler-safe cable railing, with a full/twin bunk bed set, and lots of play space. Hang out in the loft and play on the retro video game arcade machine! Featuring 10 different games for endless entertainment, including Ms. Pac-Man, Galaga, Dig Dug, Rally-X, and more!
This home offers sleeping accommodations for up to five guests with the existing beds: Master queen (2), and loft bunk bed full (2) and twin (1). However, if your group is larger, we have linens available for the two futons (+2) and a queen air mattress (+2) at an additional fee, allowing sleeping for eight guests. We welcome furry family members (pets) with a nominal fee. Washer and dryer use within the home is complimentary for guests. Infant / baby items (pack and play, kitchen items, toys, etc.) are available upon request. While the garage is for owner use, guests may use the paved, covered carport.
We welcome you to come stay at our little log cabin at Lee Lake and hope to see you soon!
We are in-between Black River Falls and Tomah with easy access to interstate I-94. Lake Lee and the town of Millston is walk-able if you desire, but any other city/attraction would be about 10-15 minutes North or South on the interstate.
Bring your ATVs, UTVs, motocross, snowmobiles, canoes, kayaks, boats (no-wake) and other water equipment. Direct or nearby access to all.
Black River Falls - 13 miles | Tomah - 18 miles

Madison - 120 miles | Minneapolis 150 miles | Milwaukee - 180 miles | Chicago - 250 miles
ATVs/Snowmobiles are common in Millston and will be seen on the road. Be careful when driving as riding paths often cross the road or run alongside it.
Millston does have trains come through occasionally. When they do, the train whistle can be heard at the cabin.
PLEASE be respectful when outside, as to not disturb the neighbors. Some of our neighbors are at their homes seasonally, while others live there daily and deserve peace and quiet also.

Fires are only permitted in the backyard firepit if allowed by Wisconsin DNR on a day-by-day basis. (e.g. not in cases of "Extreme" burning danger) If you choose to have a fire in the backyard, you must ensure that it is permitted by the DNR on the day you chose to burn and must never leave the fire unattended. We appreciate your cooperation as this is a safety issue for everyone including our neighbors.
You can view the day-by-day DNR conditions on the Wisconsin DNR Website or by calling 1-888-WIS-BURN (947-2876).
We take fire safety VERY seriously. If you are not responsible with your campfire, or leave it unattended, you will be asked to leave the cabin without refund!
