"I was in town visiting a friend for nearly two weeks, and this little pod was such a delightful place to stay! Situated in a very charming Japanese garden, it was plenty private, cozy and comfortable. It also seemed bigger inside than the pictures might make it look. The hosts Ian and Caz were so kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home. They stocked a basket with all kinds of snacks and breakfast foods and even brought us some home baked cake and scones. "We had the best experience from start to finish staying in this lovely cottage. The accommodation literally had everything we needed and more. Games for the kiddies, wood for the log burner, lots of lovely toiletries, a packed welcome pack full of goodies and much more. The lovely owner could not have been nicer; nothing was too much trouble. We really didn’t want to leave. We will definitely be back again and we can’t wait."

Parking was the only minor downside as had to park jn 3 different spots during our stay but dont let that put you off, still well worth it. "An old characterful house in a lovely location. Comfortable lounge with lots of seating, well-appointed kitchen downstairs. Upstairs..spacious bedrooms and bathroom. Worked well for our family of grandparents, parents and siblings and two small children to attend a family wedding nearby. Clear instructions were left. It was ideal for us."

"A short stay to explore the Norfolk coast. I loved the attention to detail and decor of the cottage. If you like historic buildings then this place is for you! The top floor room has an old beam across it and is a struggle to get into but the kids liked it so that was a win. "This is a wonderful hotel. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is spotlessly clean. Our room is in need of redecorating after what looks like an old damp issue from a water leak outside the bathroom but didn’t cause us any issues. The hotel is in a very good location and we would recommend it to anyone. "

Lovely one night stay

"This is a really beautifully kept and charming pub hotel. We had a room on the 2nd floor (i believe) with a view of the street. As a 17th century building it does have slightly steep stairs and some quaint low doorframes. We stayed for one night but I'd be happy to stay there for more than that if I'm in the area again. The pictures of the room were accurate. It was warm in winter even though heating was off. It was well kept and clean, the beds were comfortable, and the ensuite bathroom brand new and very clean (the gents in the pub downstairs a slightly different story! But the pub itself was very nice). - Doors at the rear are left open should you want to come back in late at night. - Breakfast was a generous full English. - The room also had a kettle with some complementary tea and coffee sachets, and there was also a decent hair drier. - Parking might be a touch limited if you arrive at the wrong time as it seems to be shared with pub customers but you might he able to find somewhere nearby in a pinch. "
