"Beautiful escape"

"Overnight stay suited us in a good location to shops and restaurants. Bathroom had steps which could be a problem for those with mobility issues but fine for us. Old lift was a bit problematic- slow and didn’t always register. Otherwise, an old hotel with lovely features like a library."

"Stopped here for one night. Although dated the room was clean and the bed comfortable. The tiles on the floor of the shower area and inside the shower need a good scrub down, as it seems that soap residue has made the floors exceptionally slippery which was very dangerous. The staff we dealt with were lovely. The bistro was good, with a good selection of meals. Liked the security gate at the front of the motel accommodation, that could only be accessed by card."

"An old house with large rooms and a garden, good to have a bath and traditional shower. No housekeeping but not needed for three nights and in fact easier not to have to bother. Interesting arrival with guided tour on the mobile phone, we did not see any staff during our stay. Nice bar and sitting room which is not working at present but good to sit with your own food and drink (glasses and plates provided)"

"Variable quality of room servicing. Some towels replaced. Some taken and not replaced. Bath soap dispenser empty but not refilled. Bit of a mixed bag. No consistency. And consistency - the same experience, regardless of who is servicing the room - is the key to a high quality stay."

"Very good stay. Staff were great and helpful, Room was comfortable. Quiet place. I also enjoyed diner in the restaurant. Would stay here again "

"It was a lovely old building unfortunately it had no air conditioning and it was quite hot. The bedroom was small and taken up with bed and massage chair so no where really to sit. "

"We stayed in a family room and it was great as kids had their own separate section. We only stayed 1 night but it was really good, would stay again if we came back to Katoomba. Place is basic but was clean and comfortable. So no issues at all. "
