Surrounded by ancient woodlands, there are two courses designed for players of all abilities. The layouts and drainage of the Hamilton and Temple courses have been continually improved over the years and they now represent fine examples of parkland golf.
The centre’s facilities are being added to and improved on every year. If you want to practise you can try out the floodlit driving range with its automatic power tees, six outside bays and 20 covered bays.
There is also a practice bunker with Sportscrete technology, a nine-hole putting green with a testing sloping surface and a shop stocking everything you need to help you with your game.
As for the courses, Temple is an 18-hole par 3 course which is ideal for beginners or more experienced players looking to hone their short game. Total yardage is 2,492 yards, which means it is also ideal for more mature golfers.
The longer, tougher Hamilton course has 18 very different holes with lots of water features and USGA greens which make putting a pleasure. You can also marvel at some fabulous views of the estate and historic Helen’s Tower as you negotiate the fairways.
Once you have finished your round you can relax in the bar and grill or, for the ladies, there are plenty of opportunities to get pampered at the Luxe Day Spa.
