After we'd paid for the gite the owner contacted us for €300 cash deposit, and told us about additional electricity charges per day. During our stay we visited Carcassonne, a medieval city-you should definitely visit at only an hour away by car. The locals were really kind and friendly. "From the initial enquiry, communication with the owners was excellent. Anne and Frédéric are excellent hosts, very helpful without being intrusive. The accommodation cannot be faulted. Clean, very well equipped and very spacious. Small but well stocked supermarket within 5 minutes. Larger Carrefour and E Leclerc hypermarkets within 20 minutes. Pleasant 3 mile walk through vineyards and around a lake straight from the Gite with more demanding and walks and hikes within driving distance....
