Luxurious, Secluded Cabin, with Gazebo Covered Hot-tub + Amazing View

Welcome to one of the most unique cabin experiences you will find in North Georgia. Mountaintop Getaway is perfectly situated on a secluded end-lot on top of a mountain in Blue Ridge, Georgia. The spectacular, nature-oriented, long-range view overlooks 70 unencumbered miles into three states. Mountaintop Getaway was professionally decorated with every rustic finish imaginable to give our guests the sense that they have truly escaped into pure serenity within the mountains.

In May, 2021 Mountaintop Getaway underwent extensive renovations by a master craftsman, who was the original builder of the cabin. We landscape engineered one of the coolest features you will find at any rental cabin - a backyard gaming oasis for cornhole and horseshoes that has custom built pitch tracks with field turf bordered by rustic railroad ties. The gaming oasis includes throwing pads on cement platforms, solar powered LED lights on mounted poles, all gaming accessories and an outdoor speaker system. The custom woodworking around the gaming oasis includes a 12’ live edge cedar bench for seating, 4’ high horseshoe pit backdrops, an entertainment console, and two large stumps that were meticulously converted to end tables. New cathedral glass, aluminum screening and logs were replaced in certain areas. There was a shed added to cover firewood next to the bonfire pit. We added a premium generator to protect against power outages, and for guests to have peace of mind during storms and inclement weather.

The cabin is conveniently located 15 minutes from downtown Blue Ridge and next to a myriad of recreational activities such as the Ocoee River (home of the 1996 Olympic Whitewater Rafting Competition), Lake Blue Ridge, Blue Ridge Scenic Railway, horseback riding, hiking trails, and so much more.

Perfect mountain home
We spent the weekend with our 2 sons and their wives. This home fit the 6 of us perfect. Each had their own bathroom and bedroom. The accommodations were great. Hot tub was perfect. The boys enjoyed cornhole and horseshoes. The evenings were nice around the poker table playing games.

2024 Family Vacation
Wow, what a beautiful home and property. The views are absolutely amazing. This owner makes sure there are plenty of activities for all ages. The cabin is clean and well equipped. I would suggest either new pillows or bring your own to ensure you have what you like. The drive up to the cabin the first time is a bit scary, but after a few times you will be a pro. It is just a steep incline, but worth it for those views! Would definitely recommend, especially for a family traveling with adult kids or friends as the three bedrooms are all on separate levels with their own bathrooms. The hot tub in the early evening was simply amazing to relax and enjoy the view. We did see some deer on the property, but no bears ☹️. We also enjoyed hiking, rafting, golfing and shopping! Thank you Dave for an amazing place for our 2024 Family trip.

Relaxing and Beautiful
We just finished a wonderful few days stay at the Mountaintop Getaway and it was wonderful. The cabin was just as described. The view is outstanding and there are many different vantage points in which to take in the view. I spent every morning sitting on the deck drinking my coffee and it was so peaceful to lidten to the birds and sounds of nature while taking in the beautiful view. We were a group of 4 adults and 2 children ages 7 and 11. The cabin was the perfect size for the 6 of us and the children were very entertained between games, books, dvds, puzzles, cornhole, and horseshoes. It is very quite around the cabin and we saw a few deer including a very newborn fawn and some turkeys. We did some very light cooking and had everything we needed appliance wise. I appreciated how there was a guide on the two main floors telling us how to operate everything and all the lights were labeled. We did not use the hot tub but it looks nice and clean and has its own gazebo. Be warned if you are a light sleeper, bring a sound machine or earplugs, this is a wood cabin so there is some noise if people get up and move in the middle of the night but it's not a lot and part of the charm! The owners have really thought of everything and were very responsive to my questions and needs. I have no doubt that we will be back to stay again!

This cabin is a hidden gem.
This property was well kept. Kitchen was much better stocked than other kitchens of rental locations I’ve stayed for vacation, which is important to me because breakfast in is an almost daily occurrence due to everyone waking at different times. The grill was nice, fire places worked well, linens well stocked, plenty of televisions, gaming systems, board games, etc. The hot tub, gazebo, and fire pit were great. We saw tons of wild life, including a lizard and frog whom I am sure are permanent residents as we seen them both multiple nights and they were well fed. 😂. We had a party of 8 (5 adults, a teen, tween, and toddler) and there was plenty of enough space on the 3 floors for all of us to separate and do our own thing with our different sleep schedules and different interests. Parking was adequate for our 3 vehicles. Views were phenomenal. The location is both convenient and secluded. In 15 minutes you are in downtown Blue Ridge or McCaysville either one. We could have easily had a staycation in the cabin and never ventured out and never became bored at all. We did spend several days doing activities and all were good. We rented a boat on the marina, blueberry picking Mercier orchards, did trails at both Cherokee national forest and Amicolola falls, Blue Ridge railway, swimming at Morganton, and ate at Ferraro, Black Sheep, Twisted Tomato, The Rum Cake lady, Mountain mommas, and Smokin Es. One piece of advise is plan to eat out early, everything does close early (8-10p).

The communication leading up to our trip was excellent! The welcome email and property manual was a big help with any questions we had before we arrived. Quick response the day of with a last minute firewood question. The home was perfectly described in the listing and VERY clean! The kitchen was stocked with plenty of pot, pans, gadgets and dishes. The view was absolutely beautiful and the grounds were so fun after a day of exploring Blue Ridge! We loved our quick visit!

Breathtaking views and outside amenities abound. Unfortunately unit needed a deep clean, kitchen supplies need a thorough going through. Many unnecessary items and old pans/knives etc which need replacing. (Cutlery that doesn’t cut). No broom or dustpan that we could find. Bedding on main floor dipped in the middle. Upstairs wooden floors quite noisy & water pressure poor. In spite of the deficiencies we enjoyed our Thanksgiving holiday with our family. We mostly enjoyed the view, outdoor games, and the hot tub!

Technology Issues
Had multiple issues with the TVs. Main level TV volume would not work, stayed silent. Basement TV stayed on loud and would not turn down. Disappointing for a girls weekend and wanting to watch a movie, etc. No one came to help us. Received only an email with instructions that did not work. Hot tub was great. Fireplace was nice. However, we did not get the full experience as expected.

This property is perfect for three couples. Bedroom and bath on each floor. The views are amazing, the hot tub was wonderful after a full day of hiking exploring waterfalls and another evening after a day of touring wineries. Great getaway!
Cabin is in a great location. Awesome view! Some of the furniture is a little out dated. Mattress in the bottom floor room is bad. Reports were that it was not good to sleep on as it was broken down. Love seat in the living room needs more support in the seat. This are minor items that did not take away from the fun stay that we had at the cabin. Love all of the fun outside amenities as well.

The BEST family getaway…slice of heaven!
Our family of five usually vacations at the beach- we decided to switch it up a bit and experience an adventure in the mountains. This did not disappoint!! The gorgeous, rustic, well appointed cabin overlooks the most breathtaking views, you just can’t look away-The owners have thought of EVERY detail imaginable to make this the perfect getaway. From the hot tub with endless views, the games outside, fire pit equipped with wood, outside speakers/sound system, Pac-Man/Galahad arcade game, poker table/games- there is so much to do without ever leaving the place. We highly recommend this and will most likely be returning…
