A hidden gem within this picturesque village is Poppy Lodge, an idyllic self catering holiday chalet, that sleeps 4 people, The chalet has 2 bedrooms, bedroom 1 has a double bed & bedroom 2 has 2 single beds. The chalets has a spacious living area & dining area with a small but well kitted out kitchen & a bathroom with a shower.
Our chalet has: gas cooker, microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster, gas fire, gas central heating, Smart TV, DVD player (and a selection of DVD's), pots & pans, cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, glasses, linen & tea towels are provided. The chalet is also dog friendly, has free wifi, Smart TV, parking for 1 car, seating area outside & all bedding & towels are provided.

Just a mile and a half from Boat of Garten is Abernethy Forest RSPB Reserve on the shore of Loch Garten. Between April and August visitors can see the famous ospreys at their nest, hopefully with some chicks, while in spring there is a good chance of spotting capercaillie, especially in the early morning hours.
Poppy Lodge is not far from the cairngorm mountain range with lots to do! For Munro baggers – take your pick. There is a plethora of offroad bike tracks and winter sports are on offer at the Cairngorm ski-resort. The village of Carrbridge, only a couple of minutes drive from Poppy Lodge is situated below the Monadhliath Mountains, is part of the scenic Cairngorms National Park. Famous for its 18th century packhorse bridge, the river Dulnain snakes its way through this picturesque village before emptying into the River Spey.
The village of Carrbridge has something to suit all ages and activity levels. Try an amble through the forest, or one of the more strenuous hill walks.
