"Staff was unable to understand guest request and statements often. Due to inadequate bathroom in the first assignment, we had to move to another room with better bathroom. At 11 pm, no one was at the reception desk and no response by dialing #9, reception desk extension. Also front door was LOCKED (on 24 Jan)! Actually no hotel staf was located anywhere. Hotel Taj Darbar

3.5 star property
7.0 out of 10, Good, (12)
"This is a 3 star hotel located about 1.5 miles from the Mahabodhi temple and the Bodhi tree. (When I booked it, the map showed it being very close, but it isn't.) It mostly caters to an Asian audience (Indian, Thai, Tibetan). The restaurant is excellent, as are its prices. (I would order a la carte instead of doing buffets). The room is a bit old and quite small. The bathroom was very nice. The staff is for the most part very friendly and helpful. "
