The Beech Hut is in the centre of pretty St Kew village in a private garden where you can BBQ and laze on the ample decking or lunch in the garden listening to the stream flowing by. You can sample some of the best pub food in Cornwall at the Inn on your door step, along with traditional Cornish Ales. In the winter the log burner will keep you cosy (logs supplied) as will the Chimnea if you're eating al fresco on the deck. The garden is frequently visited by Barn and Tawny owls as well as a variety of other wild birds and colourful butterflies. During your stay it's easy to visit a different port or beach each day of the week as well as discovering excellent walking along the coastal path and on Bodmin Moor. Water skiing, kayaking, coasteering, sea fishing and surfing are available within less than a half hour drive. In under an hour you can take in the delights of the south coast by visiting Fowey, Looe, the Eden project and Heligan. Cyclists have a variety of off and on road routes to try out as well as mountain biking at Lanhydrock and Cardinham Woods. There are 18 miles of off road, level cycling on the Camel Trail including the popular Wadebridge to Padstow leg, lured by Rick Stein's fish and chips or posher grub. We can also share with you our own favourite routes to take in sea views or a wealth of indie cafés. Climbing enthusiasts will enjoy visiting Magic Wood as a great wet weather activity for both novices and the more experienced. If you're coming to relax, wind down and enjoy the beaches, Polzeath, Rock, Daymer Bay and Trebarwith Strand are just some of the many beautiful local options. The Beech hut is suitable for stays in all weather with covered decking for BBQ, DVD player, a collection of DVDs and books which you are invited to borrow or add to, and a log fire for chilly evenings. We will provide a local map and tide information to help you plan your days - logs included in price. Wifi is available. On arrival you'll find a welcome hamper with essentials to get you started in the kitchen and we love sharing our inside knowledge on tides, waves, places to go, things to do if this is your first time here. We can take in clothes washing for you during your stay. Bike washing available in the garden. Having your own transport is advisable due to the rural setting.

What a lovely place to stay. Cosy hut with everything you need to make your stay just perfect. Lovely greeting and care from the property manager. Not far from some beautiful beaches and harbours where the food is exceptional. Would highly recommend and will return.

The Beach Hut - a perfect place to unwind
We had a really relaxing time staying in the Beach Hut. The accommodation was excellent and we had everything we needed. The location was perfect for exploring the North Cornish coastline. We walked coastal paths, visited some gorgeous beaches and enjoyed a cider or two. Leonie and Rob were fantastic hosts and we would definitely recommend the Beach Hut to anyone wanting a relaxing base for their Cornish adventures.

A peaceful little hideaway!
The Beech Hut was exactly as it had been described by the owners and previous residents. The accommodation itself had everything we needed, was clean and comfortable and was in a lovely location. The garden was lovely and we enjoyed sitting on the deck in the evenings watching the bats. St Kew is an ideal location for visiting Port Isaac, Padstow (via the Rock ferry), Boscastle and Tintagel. There was a little welcome hamper containing some essentials as well as a loaf of homemade bread. If you are looking for a peaceful break then this has to be the place!

Perfect Escape (21st-24th May 2019)
A beautiful and peaceful retreat where every detail had been thought of by Leonie and Rob, even down to a welcome hamper with freshly baked bread. The village of St Kew is lovely, and perfectly located to enjoy the many coastal walks that North Cornwall has to offer. We would also highly recommend the St Kew Inn which is just a few paces from the Beech Hut and serves the most delicious food! Thank you for a wonderful stay, we will definitely be returning as there is so much more to explore. Sarah & James

Amazing Beech Hut! Beautiful and very relaxing
What a fabulous beech hut the location was perfect and a great way to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life. The hut had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable with some essential items in a lovely hamper and lovely fresh flowers. We spent most evenings on the rocking chairs with a bbq chimnea light so we could stay cosy until the sun went down. The pub is also lovely With great food and atmosphere. We really feel in love with the beech hut and Cornwall so much so we will see you again next year. Thanks Leonie and Rob for all the attention to detail and creating a beautiful place from runs to relax and recharge.

A gorgeous beech hut in an amazing location, a perfect getaway!
Our stay was incredible, we couldn't have wished for more. The beech hut is great, full of character and a great romantic hideaway in the beautiful village of St.Kew. Leonie was such a welcoming host who truly helped us feel at home and the welcome hamper on arrival was a really nice extra. This hut is in a great location, hidden away from the major towns but still easily commutable to the main attractions. During our stay we visited the Eden project, Port Issac and Tintagel castle, all of which were easy to get to. I couldn't recommend this place more, we will definitely be back to visit the place where we got engaged!

Perfect cabin retreat
We spent a few nights at the Beech Hut just after ‘the beast from the east’ snow had hit but didn’t notice the cold as the fantastic wood burner keep the place so warm and cosy. The bed is one of the most comfortable we’ve slept on. The kitchen is really well equipped with a few essentials provided which are a really nice touch. Overall, quality accommodation with thoughtful and friendly hosts. Would love to come back in warmer weather to enjoy the veranda and garden. Would also recommend the friendly pub across the road for food.

Cute, cozy, private and perfect cabin for couples who want to get away from it all!
We had an amazing experience at the Beech Hut! Upon arrival we were welcomed by Leonie who baked us a fresh loaf of bread and had the fire on for us. Her and Rob were great hosts. The cabin itself was just perfect. Everything you needed for a cozy night in to cook your own meal was there (cooking utensils, pots/pans, plates, hob etc). The bed was comfortable and the shower room had a decent amount of space. There’s also a book shelve full of fiction/non-fiction books as well as maps and books of Cornwall. The overall atmosphere of the place was just lovely. It was exactly what my partner and I were looking for and we couldn’t recommend it enough. The gardens were beautiful as well as the seating area on the porch which was covered by an over hang in case of wet weather. The village of St. Kew was very cute. Once you walk out of the cabin and several steps up to the high street the pub is just several meters away across the road. There’s a great farm shop just up on the main road and Port Isaac fishing village is only a 20 minute drive away. A picturesque, must-see village! We can’t wait to return to The Beech Hut soon.

Fantastic!!!!
We enjoyed a lovely weekend. The pictures of the beech hut do not do the place enough justice as it was even better than we expected :) it looks beautiful in the pictures but even better in real life. Amazing hosts with attention to detail - a log fire burning on our arrival and a fresh warm loaf of bread and hamper with other goodies :). Highly recommend the pub opposite the st Kew inn - the food was amazing especially the Sunday roast! A lovely area and was perfect for our weekend away. We hope to return soon :)

Our week at The Beech Hut. Aug. 2017
We loved our short stay at the beech Hut.The accommodation had everything needed to make an enjoyable visit to Cornwall. The beech Hut is so close to some of Cornwall's wonderful beaches and attractive towns and pretty villages. Initially we had some reservations about the spiral staircase however once we had negotiated it a few times there was no problem at all. The garden is a pure delight and with the stream running at the bottom of the garden makes it a real pleasurable place. Although the weather could have been better it didn't deter us from getting out and visiting some of our favourite places. Thank you Leonie and Rob for making our short stay a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Peter and Marie

Fantastic place.
The Beech Hut is tucked away in a gorgeous place in North Cornwall. Leonie welcomed us with a wonderful lit wood burner and the smell of freshly baked bread. There was a small hamper full of essentials like coffee tea sugar etc. Very thoughtful . The Hut is fully equipped with everything you need to enjoy your holiday. The Hut is so cosy you really don't want to leave, but you must explore the area. Cornwall is so diverse, the people are so friendly. We would recommend this property to stay. But we won't be telling too many people incase we can't get the weeks we want to stay here !

Everything we needed in a cosy, small cabin, set in a beautiful garden in a delightful village.
Peace and quiet, flowers, birds, a small stream, a beautiful old church, a good pub, a comfy bed, a wood stove, new kitchen ware, a microwave, slow cooker, induction hot plates, hot water, good sharp knives, lots of books, maps and videos and a warm welcome. We loved staying here.

The Beech Hut is the most wonderful little building and as soon as we got there we wanted one! Not that we have anywhere to put it. Perfectly formed and beautifully furnished it had everything we needed for a romantic break. The village is lovely and the garden is charming. Leonie and Rob made us feel very welcome. Gorgeous
The Beech Hut is simply gorgeous and from the moment we arrived, to find freshly baked bread in the welcome pack, Leonie and Rob were superb hosts (even posted my glasses which were dropped on the drive back to us). The Beech Hut has everything you need whether you want a quiet, romantic, getaway or something more active and the lovely location in St Kew makes this the perfect base for exploring all that North Cornwall has to offer - and the cliff path to Port Isaac is stunning. We were also lucky enough to be there for the Gig in the Garden at the pub next door complete with beer and cider tent and a variety of bands throughout the day. You will have a great time at the Beech Hut - Can't recommend it strongly enough.

Very beautiful - Cornwall at its best
The Beech Hut is a wonderful, very clean, well equipped and lovely decorated holiday home situated in calm St. Kew next to an old, authentic pub with delicious food. Above all we can recommend the mussels! The warm welcome, the best hosts you can have, a big, quiet garden made us feel very comfortable. No doubt- the Beech Hut is a special place where you feel happy and it is an ideal starting point for exploring beautiful Cornwall. Don't miss to visit Bude, which is not as crowded as other (also beautiful) places, enjoy the lovely beaches nearby, experience small and often steep Cornish roads and, and .... It was just great to be with you, Leonie and Rob! Thanks again for your hospitality. Hope to see you both and of course Zoroo again in the future.
