"This is in a retirement complex within walking distance (1km) of the centre of Lisieux. The room we had was good, with a kitchen with Hob and microwave and a dining area. At the weekend the access to the building is by key code and the reception is not manned all the time. Very quiet. The set up seems quite surreal, but actually works well."

The accommodation was very cosy and comfortable (especially the bed) with everything we needed. David and Tricia were the perfect hosts - on hand to share their extensive local knowledge and offer plenty of excellent recommendations of where to eat and visit. "Basic hotel but very affordable for our budget. There is a McDonald's across the street and easy access to the freeway. Breakfast is 12 Euros which is not cheap for what you get. U need a car for this hotel. Friendly helpful staff. Its a good base to explore Normandy without staying at an expensive hotel closer to the D Day Beaches. There is a Lidl a short distance away. I would stay here again if I have a vehicle. "
