"We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Genovese. Parking was simple and straight forward. The view from our room and balcony was simply unreal. The bed was comfortable and air conditioning was greatly appreciated. We enjoyed dinner from the hotel restaurant twice and both meals were excellent. The breakfast was a little too expensive for the options supplied so we only had it once. The spa amenities were included in our stay and provided some great relief after a long day of walking. "Spectacular location - beautiful setting on its own beach overlooking Capu Biancu; convenient (but not too close) to Bonifaccio, Sperone, Polambaggia & Porto Vecchio. Staff was unfailingly friendly and helpful (particularly Romain, the boat captain) and rooms were eclectically designed (in a good way). The entire property reflects a happy balance between 5 star comfort and the distinctive personality of a family owned boutique hotel. "Attention mostiques ! Pour une propriété bien entretenue, avec un grand personnel, il serait suggéré d'ajouter des moustiquaires à certaines des fenêtres. Notre enfant a été attaqué sans relâche dans la nuit. Les fenêtres des salles de bains et les chambres s'ouvrent vers l'intérieur. Le placement d'un écran serait très facile et peu coûteux. La valeur serait immense pour protéger les invités et permettre aux fenêtres de rester ouvertes. Cela réduirait le besoin que la climatisation fonctionne...

"Very nice property with friendly staff. The view from the bar / pool area is fantastic too. Rooms are nice, with everything you need. Breakfast was too expensive for a buffet, not that it was bad, just overpriced. You really need a car as walking into town isn’t very convenient. Bear-in-mind, you’ll be going out for lunch and dinner, possibly breakfast too. The general location is great, but can get extremely busy. "

"Cavallo is an idyllic and beautiful island. Unfortunately the hotel is no longer run in a first class way and I could not in good conscience recommend staying here (especially at these prices). For example, there is a ferry that takes you to the island. We called the hotel bc we were 3 mins late (after a 17 hour flight from California that wasn't so bad). The hotel assured us they would contact the ferry and make sure they would wait those three minutes. The ferry said no one ever contacted...

"This was not what we originally booked, we booked a hotel with a pool & restaurant, 3 weeks before I was informed the hotel had changed is name & the link provided to their website still stated a pool & restaurant. Upon arrival we found no pool & restaurant & was still charged the same price with these facilities short! Shame we were misled in this way as the property was nice & the gardens & hot tub were nice! I think the owners & hotels.com should of together rectified this issue and reflected...

"Excellent base for exploring Bonifacio and surrounding magical beaches. Cannot speak highly enough of the manager/owner who was very helpful and friendly. If I was going to suggest ways to improve i would say the apartment needs a more substantial bin and a small fridge in every room would be great (we did only pay for an economy room though). Also 11am checkout would be helpful when breakfast ends at 10 but none of these detracted from our stay. The pool was beautiful and very clean. Thank you...
