Basic Days inn. Was woken up at 4 am by loud singing. When I called the front desk to ask if they knew there was a concert going on in the lobby, they confessed it was them. Singing at the top of their lungs. At 4am. Did not apologize and amazingly kept singing after I told him it woke me up. Also there was a campsite set up outside the front doors where 2 people were living rough, with a bbq and everything. They also were welcomed in for breakfast (which is very nice of them, however one of the gentlemen was not wearing his shirt, while we were all having breakfast). We stayed here because of the proximity to the rodeo grounds. If you can avoid it, there are likely much better hotels in the area.

We had a wonderful spacious room with a kitchen. The property is older but well maintained. The staff is so helpful. They have a buffet breakfast with a large variety.

The room was excellent and the breakfast fine for buffet. A 2:00 am party down the hall followed by two hours of drunk people yelling and stomping up and down the hallway was too much. The night staff asked them to “keep it down” but were ignored. I was lucky to get four hours of sleep.

Beware if you are booking at this property. The 4th floor is a ‘smoking floor’, and it is easy to miss that rooms are designated as ‘smoking’ when booking through Expedia. The entire 4th floor smells disgusting, and the rooms are no exception. Despite packing up everything and taking it with us during the day over our two night stay, our clothes and luggage still had the stench of smoke on it when we arrived home. We did not smoke in the room, and ran into two other guests also stuck on the 4th floor who weren’t smokers and had the same experience. If you think it won’t be bad because you’re not smoking, think again. It will. If there were any other rooms available in Bonnyville, we would have eaten the cost of the room and stayed elsewhere our second night.

It was our own fault that we didnt see that our room was a smoking room. I didnt think that it was legal to do this still. Tho hotel and staff were exelent though. There was no more rooms avaliable and we had to stay in the smoking room. If you are put on the 4th floor and dont smoke, make sure to cancel it.
