"I wasn't aware I would be charged an additional fee on my card the day I was supposed to check in. We stopped by their offices which were closed for the season and left a message with no reply. I also tried to the phone number provided on here and it was disconnected. Very disappointed my credit card information was released and there was a charge without my knowledge. Even for a hold the fee is way too much. I paid less than half of this for my one night stay. Still trying to reach them...

"Very dated, floors uneven, felt cramped with three people, not for the elderly, couch in living room was like sitting on a rock! Overall it was clean but won’t stay again…sorry just trying to be truthful! Master bedroom bed was very comfortable but watch out on the stairs and DUCK at bottom so you don’t bang your head?spiders in showers!"

Tasty bakery/coffee (Farm 23) across the street. Landtrust surrounding the property for running and walking trails. Location is walkable or <5 min drive to shops and restaurants downtown. You won’t be disappointed. "

"Location and property. Plenty of space for us all to spread out. Furnishings were comfortable. Very charming. Supplies were well stocked - everything we needed to cook. The yard was the best - fire pit, plenty of outdoor seating. Space to play in the yard, water access and great views. Very peaceful. The most amazing star gazing ever. We had a great stay and hope to stay again. The hosts even provided a lovely Thanksgiving gift for us which was much appreciated."

"We loved 5 Gables!! We rented the house behind the inn . It was fantastic!! Everything we needed was right there. Carolyn brought breakfast every morning like clock work! We were so spoiled! Every breakfast was a delight! Such a treat! The neighborhood is on the water. There are 2 public docks to enjoy. We watched the northern lights one evening. Such a wonderful experience! Can’t wait to go back!!"
