"Unfortunately, there were very high winds so the power company had to shut off the power to the area. We were informed ahead of time and given the option to reschedule, which we declined. They ran a power cord from their generator to the cabin to the heater so we could have a heat source other than the fireplace. As usual, they were very accommodating and the best hosts, ever! "Loved staying at this little house. The view is amazing and it’s close to downtown Julian. Kitchen is very well equipped. Woodpeckers will tap on the windows in the morning which is no big deal. Didn’t love dealing with the very steep driveway but that was our only complaint. Would stay here again."

"We greatly enjoyed the little house, it was exactly what we were looking for! Everything we could need! Be sure to follow the owners directions to the house, not gps, they are different so trust hers. I was nervous arriving after dark, and if the roads were wet or icy it may have been difficult. But it was a dry lovely weekend. Stay here!"

"Martin’s cabin, the Lilac, was perfect for our weekend away. It was easy to get to and check in was simple. Make sure to read all of the information provided before arrival since there is no cell signal. This cabin was cozy, rustic, and a hidden gem on Palomar Mt. Upon arrivals the cabin was clean and very chilly. After about 30 min with the gas fireplace turned on we were very comfortable in our t shirts. "We booked this location especially because it was dog friendly. We absolutely loved it and it exceeded our expectations. Paul was great and called the day we got there to make sure we didn’t have any questions and to let us know specifics. Such a quiet and relaxing area, the cabin is also very fun with all the little details. It was a pretty hot weekend, and the beds still had the winter flannel sheets, but other than that it was perfect."
