We are located in the new Charlestown Marina close to the USS Constitution, Freedom Trail and Bunker Hill monument. The North End is a very pleasant walk of less than 1 mile.

Our 2003 Carver yacht is perfect for two couples with two staterooms ( bedrooms) each with a queen size bed and baths with showers. Additional sleeping is available in the full size pullout in the salon.

Kitchen with microwave/confection oven, small refrigerator and freezer, and coffee maker.

The yacht is fully air conditioned and heated during the winter. Stay connected with free WiFi. Two TVs with cable TV.

Small outside seating on the stern of the boat and larger seating area up one level to the helm station. Please note the boat is stationary during your visit and can not be driven.

Accessible to all of Boston via car, bus, and water taxi. Walk to many area restaurants, Freedom Trail, Bunker Hill, USS Constitution and the North End. Parking is available at $25 per day and must be reserved ahead or spaces can be full.

Free bus to the North End two blocks away, MBTA Water shuttle is less than 10 minute walk and the shuttle drops you off at Long Wharf right next to the New England Aquarium

Safe and friendly neighborhood. Gated entrance to the marina. Please note, stairs can be challenging to anyone with mobility issues. Please check photos.

Our yacht provides a exciting unique remedy for a busy vacation. Wake to the sound of gulls. Have your coffee while watching the sun come up over the harbor. Sip a cocktail outside of the deck watching the harbor and finally be rocked to sleep at night in our comfortable beds done up in premium linens.

Great stay and awesome communication
The location is awesome, you can walk to the USS Constitution and the ferry to the north end. Boat is very nice. The check in was amazing. Some advice- it is a steep step climb to the boat so pack accordingly (our heavy suitcases were a challenge but was workable…use duffles if you can (we were on the road for a while so this was on us). The only other thing to note is the stove does not work, we bought stuff to cook but it is just a microwave. Overall, awesome stay.

Good “Man-cation”
None of us had stayed on a boat before. We didn’t know exactly what to expect. Kind of like an RV on the water. Small but useable bathrooms. Good A/C. Comfortable beds. That’s all guys need.

Disappointed
The boat is old and the pictures are NOT current - bait and switch situation! There was a funky smell in the smaller bunk room, the fan was on full blast when we arrived, so I know they must have been trying to alleviate the funk. Lights broken and hanging in the larger bunk room (the owner did come and climb into our unmade bed and stuck it back in the wall, although it's not fixed, just wedged in the opening). One bathroom light was burned out and most of the light covers are missing. In the main cabin, there is a sharp screw sticking down out of one light. Vents in the bathroom were caked with dusk. The skyward hatch in the main bunk cabin, was also dirty, and not great since your face is about 2' away. A piece of trim was hanging off the main door. Furniture inside and out is worn and/or dirty. The outside of the boat is not well taken care of either, it's dirty, the upholstery is worn and there is junk wedged in all corners, an overturned plant, and there's a dirty tarp collecting water and leaves as you enter the boat. We received 4 pages of instructions and the instructions book in the boat had conflicting information. This was extremely overprices and we are so disappointed.

Not as romantic as it seems
Boat was pretty dirty. Inside and out. There was an ever present odor from the bilge that at times was quite strong. Only one of the bathrooms was operational the first night. Second night there was quite a bit of traffic on the dock that was loud. Bedclothes were all stained and old. For the money it was certainly not worth it.

Nice that could be cleaner.
It was everything we thought as far as location in the boat itself, but the exterior of the boat was in need of a cleaning the bathtowels. What didn't you and mildew smelling the betting was tingy. And a little smelly, but overall, the place was clean in general. And had everything you'd want or need.

Great & unique stay in Boston!
Our family of 5 loved the unique experience of staying on a boat in the Boston Harbor for our recent trip to Boston. While the boat is a little aged, it is well taken care of & provided a great short stay for my husband and I, and kids ages 15, 11 & 9. The Charlestown Marina is beautiful and very clean and safe, it was a great retreat from the busyness of Boston. Deb was great to communicate with and Sherrie was especially appreciated as she helped us get settled in the middle of a thunderstorm and torrential downpour. The small space might get a little cramped for a longer stay, but for our 2 night visit to Boston, it was the perfect fit!

Travelled with family
When I went to book this property the price changed on booking. This was in addition to other charges that international guests may not be aware of which also need to be added. None the less I elected to proceed as I was meeting one of my children who now lives in Belgium for his Harvard Graduation and catching up was a special occasion for us . We are familiar with boats. Location suited us as we did have a car but it is also relatively easy to get many places without using it. The check in process of having to meet someone at a specific time to gain access,(not advised at time of booking) and the condition of the boat were both a little disappointing. The marina has no special Boston ambience. The boat, furniture and overall presentation are a little tired.. Internet connection is poor. It lacks amenities such as an iron that most hotel rooms would provide. Value for money not there for experience provided in this instance.

Unique house boat vacation
The Sea Pearl was a wonderful boat, perfect for 6 of us! Myself, my husband and our four boys enjoyed the unique setting on Charlestown Harbor. The ‘neighbors’ were quiet, the cabin was comfortable, the AC was inviting on the hot days. The check in and check out process was super easy, the parking was close by and unloading was a breeze! This is a great location, a short and comfortable walk away from the USS Constitution and the freedom trail!

My family absolutely loved staying in Boston Harbor. Gorgeous setting and QUIET! An easy 10 minute ferry will get you into the heart of the city. Check in is a breeze. And Sherry and Deb were both great during our stay. It’s definitely tighter quarters than a hotel room, but I’d recommend just on location alone. Perfect!

Wonderful Location for Walking to the Freedom Trail
My husband and I as well as our 19 and 17 year old boys stayed on the yacht. This was our first time ever staying on a boat overnight so we went into this knowing that we would likely have to make some adjustments as this would be smaller than our usual VRBO housing. Indeed it was a tight fit. BUT we went to Boston to see Boston and to do as much as we could comfortably do in a week. So, we knew that the boat would be a place to sleep and have coffee in the mornings. We didn't cook there at all. The boat is very close to the Freedom Trail so you can start the Freedom Trail from the boat and walk it to downtown to Boston Common; OR you can make your way to Boston Common and start the Freedom Trail there and make your way back to the boat that way so that you end the day close to the boat. This is the option we went with for our day. By the way, a lot of publications say you can do the trail in 2 hours. I would plan on it being a pretty full day if you do it all in one day. Prior to the trip, we invested in good walking shoes and we decided not to rent a car. After coffee on the top deck each a.m., we all left on foot for breakfast, usually somewhere in Boston. Our first full day in Boston we walked from the boat to downtown for breakfast at Cafe Bonjour. It usually has a wait and it is TOTALLY worth it. We did indulge since we knew we would be walking a lot. We left there to go to Boston Common to start the Freedom Trail (it is an actual trail in that you follow a brick or painted red path for the entirety of the trail). We walked 12 miles that day and that included going to breakfast and then walking to Warren's Tavern for dinner. The Tavern was historically cool and had GREAT raw Oysters at $1 per oyster for happy hour (3-6pm). The dinner food was pretty mediocre but the oysters were worth it. Our second day we decided to go whale watching so we walked the short distance (maybe 5 - 10 mins) over to the ferry (very close to the USS Constitution). The ferry drops you by the Aquarium....our whale watching boat was part of the Aquarium so it was very convenient to get off the ferry and then onto the whale watching boat. That was an amazing experience. We got to see beautiful whales & ride a really large boat in the open ocean. Overall, we were very happy with our stay on the yacht. It is much like staying on a RV; but it rocks you to sleep. Our boys preferred to shower at the marina showers and we did use those bathrooms when coming and going.
