Old unclean small cubicle. The TV did not work. The shared bathroom door was broken. Looked like they tried their best to keep the bathrooms clean but the bathrooms need a renovation because they looked very unclean no matter how much you cleaned them. Guess that is what you get for a cheap hotel room but for that amount a night (and booked weeks jn advance!) the services were far below the expectations. If you can afford a little better I would recommend somewhere else. I read some of the reviews but was expecting may be it wouldn’t be that bad but I stand corrected. The reviews don’t lie!!

decent general area close to back bay although the specific location of the rooms is on a noisy street facing busy roads and rail lines. the property is poorly maintained, in particular the windows and shared bathroom door (which needed to be slamned shut) made for very poor sleep quality. i would not return.

The shared bathroom to the third floor rooms of this property is disgusting. It has mold and mildew, the door stays open impeding walking in the hallway. My room was about 90 degrees upon arrival. It took over an hour to get someone from maintenance to come and fix a hose that was dislodged from room air conditioner. The solution was to duct tape it on. The air conditioner sits directly by the head of the bed with no room to move it anywhere else. I moved out after one night because the bathroom was unusable it was so gross. I was refused a refund.

Positives: good location. Negatives: that's a very badly maintained property. Very dirty floors, especially offputting are the carpets that got gray-brown over time (they looked so bed I avoided stepping on them with my socks). My bed had a broken headboard. I had some spots on the cushion. Bathroom smelled heavily with mold, so we kept the door into the bathroom open all the time to keep the air circulation. And there was a strong smell of weed coming from the nearest room. I felt quite disgusted by the place and tried to stay there as little as possible. But feels also important to mention that nothing critical happened - my possessions were all safe, no loud noises, nobody disturbed me there and I could access the property with the automatic check in easily (details were sent to me upfront).

The property is an excellent location, walking distance to shops, dining, parks, and more. The neighborhood is clean, safe, and seemingly quiet. However, the highway runs in front of the property which adds a lot of noise and light. I’d suggest you bring ear plugs/head phones and a sleep eye mask for extra comfort. The rooms are small and built for efficiency which was great as a solo traveler. I’ve never shared a bathroom while traveling and it wasn’t too bad. I forgot to pack shower shoes/flip flops so I’d recommend that. The property itself is old and worn. The doors stick and slam and the floor boards are very creaky. I only mention this in case you were a light sleeper. Otherwise, it’s really not that big of a deal. Based on previous reviews, I thought things would be dirty but it really wasn’t bad- just don’t expect things to be 3 star hotel quality. Property management was extremely responsive! I didn’t realize they’d take a $300 hold and they answered quickly when I asked about it. The hold was released a couple days after check out. All in all, I felt safe and happy as a solo female traveler and would absolutely stay here again.

The photos of rooms are misleading. It is more like staying in student accommodation. We had a basement room with a very small ensuite. Whilst the room had windows, it didn't feel very secure as it only had a very loosely locked back door out to back yard and bin area. The air conditioning unit fed through one of the windows and was sealed with duct tape. Large TV on wall didn't work. One bed leg had broken off and wallpaper was peeling off. The whole floor was on the slant. On the positive side, the bed was comfortable and the location was good.

Could stand for a deep cleaning - former guests hair all over in both room & shared bathroom. Convenient location. Air unit worked well. Communication was good.

The pictures are very misleading. The room was humid, old and the hallway steps are crooked. The shared bathroom is in poor condition and is one toilet and one shower for 7 rooms to share.

It was literally like staying with family. Never heard a noise from anyone or anything. Showers and bathrooms were never occupied either. Walking distance to trains, busses, or anything else you'll need.
