The apartment is on the Seventh floor, it is light, sunny and spacious with one double bedroom and ensuite, a second bedroom with two single beds (that can be put together). The second bedroom has its own bathroom and toilet and separate hallway within the apartment making it private.

On entry to the apartment you are greeted by a large open plan kitchen diner with sofa bed (that will comfortably sleep 2) and a balcony which catches the afternoon sun. (Balcony closed due to health and safety as all other apartments in the block)

All in excellent condition and very well equipped. The kitchen includes a , hobs, microwave with grill and combination oven, fridge, freezer and dish washer,but there is not a actual cooker .There is free unlimited wifi, a smart TV which has several English channels with plenty of French channels.The apartment and balcony face the" bois de l'ois" piste so there very little village noise.

In true ski in ski out style you right on the edge of the piste when leaving the boot room, you ski straight into the main lift system and at the end of the day ski back through the village to the ski room door. Arc 1950 village, is snow sure and arguably the best connected of the villages that make up the wonderful Paradiski area. It is less than 3 minutes walk from the apartment to the village centre. Facilities in the village include shops and restaurants, ski hire a choice of ski schools and child care. There is also a car park under the village if required with direct lift access into the reception.

Great location and facilities
The apartment is in a great location next to the ski hire shop and in the village with shops, boulangerie and restaurants. Ski in ski out access made everything easy and we loved sitting in the jacuzzi on the deck looking up at the mountains. We plan to be back next year.

Great Ski Apartment
Location in Les Arcs 1950 could not be better. Literally, just 10 yards to the ESF ski school meeting point, the lift pass office and ski hire shops. The apartment is a good size compared to most ski chalets and the two separate bedrooms are a good size too. The balcony is great for afternoon sun and there is v quick access to an outdoor jacuzzi with great mountain views. Kitchen is on the small side so is perfectly fine for limited food preparation meals.

The property was ideal for 4 adults and 2 young children, it is furnished like a chalet to make you feel at home in the mountains. The spa access was a lovely treat. Beds were very comfy and access to netflix on tv was great. Has no actual oven but we made meals using hob only. Great size fridge to be self catering. Balcony & windows have breathtaking views. The resort of 1950 is a gorgeous village in itself & very family friendly. The apartment is central in the village. It can be noisy on an evening with piste bashers working on the slopes but that’s what you should expect with ski in/ski out access to slopes. We loved it S regular skiers & are already planning when to return!

Perfect ski apartment
By far the best self-catered accommodation we’ve stayed in. Apartment is on a quiet side of town with great views of the pistes (including night skiing) and surrounding mountains. As Arc 1950 is so tiny, you are also steps away from supermarket, bakery, bars, ski shops and everything else you need. Ski in/ ski out was also just as convenient with 4 lifts downhill and within a minute of the property to shoot you off to different areas of the resort. Kitchen can’t be faulted, with enough equipment and space to cook full meals. Lounge was comfortable with a proper sofa (not a cushioned bench!) Bedrooms both were essentially en-suite and separated by the lounge which was great for privacy. The terrace was great for enjoying some afternoon sun and a beer at the end of the day. Finally John was a pleasure to deal with and I don’t often go to the same resort twice, but I would more than happily return.

Great accommodation in a lovely location
We stayed as a family of 5 for a week in the Summer. The property is very close to the centre of Arc 1950, ideally located for restaurants and bars. There are fabulous outdoor activities available close to the village and I imagine it would be an ideal base for skiing in the Winter. The apartment itself is well equipped and comfortable and communication with John the owner was excellent.

The best self-catered apartment we've had
We're a family of four and have stayed in countless self-catered apartments across the alps. This was by far the best accommodation we have stayed in. The apartment is perfectly laid out, allowing for a really good amount of social space as well as privacy from the kids at bed time. It's on the quiet side of the building and the balcony is a total sun trap at the end of the day. The resort is high and snow sure, we stayed in mid-April and had brilliant conditions. Everything is super convenient, which is great when you're trying to herd a 7 and 9 year old, it took us about 20 minutes to sort rentals and passes when we arrived. All in all, pretty brilliant.

Beautiful apartment next to the slopes
We have just returned from a fabulous stay in this well appointed, comfortable apartment. Very handy being so close to the slopes and convenient to have a boot room to store skis etc being only a few steps from the lift near the apartment door. We loved the views, and it is so close to the supermarket, bakery and some lovely restaurants. Special thanks to the owner who gave us lots of infomation and even left us a welcome bottle of Prosecco for our arrival. Much appreciated!

Spacious 2 bed flat with pleasant sunny views over the piste.
End corridor apartment so quiet with easy access to hot tub and spar facilities. Situated in established apartment complex well serviced with ski storage, refuse disposal and clothes washing facilities. Spacious enough for 6 adults. Sunny south west outlook was a real bonus and easy access from the slopes allowed a leisurely lunch break in the comfort of our own apartment without the need to queue for restaurants on the slopes. Great location in pleasant purpose built pedestrian only village. Easy access to enormous, great skiing area with slopes for all abilities. Owner very approachable and quick to rectify faults with dishwasher and sofa-bed. I would be happy to return.

Well located and spacious accommodation
The owner was excellent in communicating with me to ensure all arrangements were in place and answered my questions very promptly. The accommodation was as shown and as well as being in a quiet area of the building it was a bonus to have access to Netflix in the evening when recovering from a hard days skiing.

Very well located apartment with great views.
We have been coming to Arc 1950 since it first opened when our 2 children were just learning to ski. They are now adults and it’s still the prettiest, highest, most convenient, well served, doorstep ski resort we know. The Refuge is one of the earliest in the development and one we have stayed in before so I knew which side to go for. We loved this apartment. It may be one of the smaller ones by square footage but the beautiful view over the slopes and lifts from the full height, picture windows gave us light, space, joy in the mornings, entertainment in the afternoons and a peaceful setting in the evenings. It was perfect for our family of four and well laid out with rooms on either side of the living room. It is also on the top floor and at the end of the corridor so feels private but has an additional lift here which accesses the spa area so you can slip out in your bathrobe and be in the (predominantly empty)spa within a few paces. Comforts include fast WiFi, Netflix, nespresso, fine bedlinen, bathrobes and molton brown toiletries. We were touched by the welcoming bottle of prosecco by the owners. We rearranged the sofa and table to maximise the view as the balcony was under repair. The dining table, as a generous console behind the sofa, worked out beautifully for our two undergrads needing desk space and gave shape to the sitting area. Minor niggles: the height of the microwave and breakfast bar are better suited to tall guests. A couple of extra hooks at the doorway or removing one door would avoid having to fight with two back-to-back doors to access the coat cupboard. A hanging rail in the corner cupboard of the master bedroom would have been useful as it has ample shelves - even enough to stack suitcases. Double plug sockets would mean no compromising lights to charge phones and would allow both sliding doors to fully open if necessary. Our host was extremely attentive and responded quickly to any questions and requests. It was so much nicer and more satisfying to deal with the owner personally. The reception at the Hameau freely replenished our supply of dishwasher tablets and toilet paper as there was no midweek clean. We were also able to leave our bags with them to ski on the last day and use their spa after we’d checked out, using different key cards. All this was fully explained by John over emails. We had a great time staying in this apartment and would happily recommend it to others.

Fantastic accomodation
We had a wonderful time in this accomodation, it has ski in and ski out from the locker room, supemarket, bakery, ski hire and ski lift pass in very close proximity. 1950 is a beautiful location for a holiday. The accomodation is superb, clean and has everything you require. Cooking for yourself is easy and the owner John was very helpful and always replied quickly to any questions. We would definately use this accomodation again. Thank you John.

Stayed for 8 nights over the New Year at Les Arcs 1950 resort. This good sized two bedroom apartment accomodated my family of five, including 3 young children. No issues at all throughout our stay. Would recommend it to others.

Perfect ski in and out accommodations. the apartment was clean and cozy and exactly as described.
Les Arcs 1950 is a wonderful village with all the amenities required. We had breakfast and lunch in the apartment but out for dinners. The kitchen isn’t quite set up for a big meal in but simple cooking was fine. We went to many different restaurants and tried regional specialties. We enjoyed Le Savoy in 2000 very much. We were two adults and two teenagers and the apartment felt spacious for our needs. The host of our apartment was very kind and easy to deal with and sent helpful tips to help us get the most out of our time there. A wonderful experience. The apartment was clean and well set up when we arrived. The Refuge building was clean and quiet although the sauna and steam room were not working correctly during our time. We lucked into amazing ski conditions and really enjoyed the skiing. It is a different type of skiing than North America, more ‘touring’ and exploring around from area to area and that was amazing experience. (Just don’t go expecting tons of steep black diamond runs)

Fantastic Apartment in Les Arc 1950
We have just returned from a wonderful week in this apartment in Les Arc 1950. The apartment was probably the best we have stayed in over the years. The apartment is very clean, spacious and has everything you would need, with extras like access to UK TV. John made the booking and payment arrangements very easy and it has a hotel feel about it so always someone on reception to ask any questions. Underground parking is straightforward. It has amazing views and easy ski in ski out. The resort itself is safe and very easy with children. All the facilities like ski hire, lift passes, bars, supermarket etc are so easy to access. The skiing was 10/10 with a vast area to cover so you can never get bored. Definitely planning on a return trip in 2018 to this apartment.

Excellent apartment in fabulous location
Stayed in this apartment for 1 week 4/3/17, the apartment is excellent and has everything to make for a very comfortable and enjoyable skiing/boarding holiday. Our group has stayed in many catered chalets over the years but all agreed the lounge area in this apartment is more comfortable than many chalets we have used. The ski locker room has direct access out onto the snow with a short run to 2 lifts opening up the whole Les Arcs ski area, returning to the ski locker room is just as easy after a long day with tired legs. 1950 Itself is a perfect small village skiing location with take aways, restaurants, bakery, supermarket and very importantly bars all with in a 2/3 minute walk. The views from the apartment should also get a mention, not many apartments can be set with such great views and overlooking the piste. We had a return Cool Bus transfer direct from Geneva airport to the lift door in the underground car park which also worked very well. All in our group would highly recommend this apartment and will not hesitate to book again in the future.

Lovely welcoming alpine apartment
We arrived very early by the funicular and bus- all very straight forward. We were too early to check in to the apartment which we were aware of in our planning, but we were able to store all our luggage in a locked luggage room so that we could go and have breakfast, sort our ski rentals and then go skiing while the apartment was being prepared. The apartment building had a hotel feel with a welcoming reception area and the friendly receptionist offered to ring us when our apartment was ready. The apartment was warm and clean, Bath robes, slippers, towels and Molten Brown shampoo/soaps etc were supplied adding to the hotel feel. There was plenty of room for 2 adults and 3 kids, the double sofabed in the lounge was very comfortable. The wifi signal was strong and reliable, there were BBC and ITV channels on the TV. Cooking facilities were limited to a hob and microwave oven (no oven), there were a couple of coffee machines and kettle and there was a dishwasher and enough crockery etc for us all. A welcome package contained some tea, coffee, Jam, marmite, tea towels, sponge and washing up liquid. The resort itself was very pretty/alpine, lots of shops, cafes and restaurants although not much choice for the 2 vegetarian children with us and quite pricey! However there was a very well stocked supermarket so we ate well. Ski-in-ski out was very convenient- the exit door to the slopes was just along from the boot/ski locker room 2 floors below. There was a program of outdoor evening entertainment each night in the village (Feb half Term) and the large indoor/outdoor pool was a hit with the kids. There was also an outside Jacuzzi which was available for us to use. The ski area was great, lots to explore, plenty of chair lifts linking the resort well, all the lift staff very helpful and friendly. Would love to come back one day!

Excellent location, very nice apartment.
Good, spacious apartment. Perfect for a family of four although the sofa is actually a sofa-bed and so could sleep 6, but a bit of a squeeze. We drove there. Les Arcs 1950 has all the parking for the apartments spread out directly under each building; the resort is small enough that the underground car park lies under pretty much the entire resort. So you go from your car, in the lift, to your apartment. Very convenient. Also means the car is always accessible and snow free. 118 Euros for 8 days parking. Downsides? Few really. We found the bed hard but that's quite individual, the WiFi as slow but the owner acted immediately to have this rectified. The owner was very approachable and helpful with advice. Other things you might want to know: there is a dishwasher, electric job and microwave but no oven. Plenty of crockery, knives, utensils. Very warm when radiators turned up - too hot!
